Added another set- Ox Cart. This set includes a simple medieval cart being drawn by an ox. (another brick-built animal, huzzah! :D ).

I cant say I'm terribly happy with the wheels of the cart, but factory has basically nothing that can be used for wooden wheels.

I also like the trebuchet, one of my co-workers made a lego trebuchet out of technic pieces and filled the counter-weight full of ball-bearings. We spent the better part of our lunchbreaks for a few days launching super-balls across the aisle. I've been meaning to make one for a while since then, yours are very cool.
Thanks for the compliments. I was pretty happy with the trebuchet too, only thing is that I actually never built a real life version to test if it actually works ><. I'm not sure if the counter weight is heavy enough to generate a good amount of force, but I placed the fulcrum about midway down the arm (rather than near the counter-weight as with actual trebuchets) so it should fire... probably just not terribly far or in a useful trajectory.

Added another set: Nobleman's Hold.

Nobleman's Hold is a keep add-on section for Baron's Bastion. It features openable sides which allow one to gain access to the interior of the top portion of the tower. Some Accessories include a small table, wine bottle, and chalice.

On another note I've made my sets into a full custom theme by doing some custom decals that can be applied to the sets and any minifigs you want to put with them. The Faction is called "The Griffon Knights". I made a post in Castle Customs, check out the thread for more details and the decals themselves. viewtopic.php?t=15130

I like that Nobleman's Hold a lot. I wonder why so expensive, though? With SNOTted walls, they should be cheaper. Using a lot of 1x1's? Cool wine bottle, I hadn't thought of that.

I think the clear 1x1s ran up the price a bit, plus there are 8 "rocker" hinges.

Still I think the value is pretty decent Its a 341 piece set, so $37.50 seems like a reasonable price. Its almost exactly $0.11 per piece which is slightly more effecient than Baron's Bastion, but not as good as the other sets which are $0.10-$0.09 per piece. (yes I'm a huge nerd for figuring this out )

Actually I modeled the piece count and actual size of building on the 1989 Forestman's River crossing. That set cost (to my surprise) $37.50- in 1989. In todays dollars that set would cost at least $50 (of course it included a baseplate, but even not counting that Nobleman's Hold has a similar value).

Without minifigs, its a bit hard to tell how big the building is. The base is 10x10. It actually has a bigger base than the keep of 6090, and is maybe 1-2 bricks shorter.

Nobleman's Hold is great, single tower structures are neglected too much.

Abother set update. This update actually includes two small sets: Rogues Lockup and Siege Tower attack.

Rogues Lockup is a small modular jail cell and wall section for expanding Baron's Bastion. It comes with a skeleton prisoner.

Siege Tower attack includes a siege tower (obviously ) and a small section of wall for expanding Baron's Bastion.
...............................................................................
To Illustrate the modularity of the sets, I've posted a few pictures of a way to expand Baron's Bastion. Many more configurations will be possible once I complete a few more sets. The configuration Pictured is using #3 Baron's Bastion, #6 Smith's shop, #8 Nobleman's Hold, and the wall section from #10 siege tower attack.

Updated the main post with 2 more sets: Prison Tower and Besieged Gate.

The Prison Tower is a simple tower module that includes a jail cell in its 2nd floor.

Besiged Gate is a town gate module which includes a battering ram that actually swings.

With the completion of these sets, I am able to show some more possible ways to combine the sets into a larger castle:

This first layout can be built by buying all of the castle building sets (#3, #5, #6, #8, #9, #10, #11, #12).

This next layout doesn't use the main set castle set (#3 Baron's Bastion) at all. Instead multiple copies of smaller sets are used to complete the layout. (4x #11, 2x #9, 3x #10, #5, #6, #12).

Theres even more layouts that can be done, especially if your not worried about the pegs and socets lining up.
