Remember that being a part of a team gives you the opportunity to get personal feedback from your team members who have a very vested interest in seeing you do your absolute best. Do not let this great asset go to waste before you submit all your entries.

A question: will the team leaders play an active role in the contest for the team?

another question: where could i show it to them?

Just wanted to add that this is an awesome idea. It really gets the creative juices flowing, pumps up the competitive spirit, and brings the Classic-Castle community together.

It's too bad that I don't have time (when will I ever?) to participate.

Define team leaders. If you mean the Admins, they will not be helping anyone, as they are judges and have only lent their names to the teams. If you mean one of the members of the team acting as team leader, none have been pre-selected so any team leader in your team will have be decided internally.

Blueandwhite wrote:Tony, how is this being scored? More specifically, is there a difference in points awarded to winners as compared to runner-ups? For example, if Team Sava has 3 winners and 4 honourable mentions, but team Bruce has only 1 winner but has 7 honourable mentions, who wins?

With that out of the way; WAR ON!!!
Scoring is as originally described - it is based on the number of names on the final lists. There will be no bonus given to those who win a category versus the runner-ups, excepting in the event of a tie between teams. There are other tie-breaking methods that will be used if necessary.

In your example Team Bruce would win because Team Bruce has more names ( 8 ) compared to Team Sava ( 7 ).

This is because in the realm of the CCC, the difference between winning a category and being a runner up is 99.99% of the time is next to nil. You'd be amazed at how close these things can be. It's also why we list so many runner ups for each category.

Oh yeah, Team Architect is totally going to win. I mean, we have a mutant space cat, can't get much better than that.

I'm having some problems using the chat in that there seems to be a huge lag between the time I send a message and the time it actually appears.

If anyone from my team needs to contact me, you can pm me through the forum or via flickr mail.
