I didn't realize that all of my posts in this thread had been deleted/moved. *Trying to remember what was said...*
My second favorite theme is space, and by default, I like Star Wars as well for the space themed parts (not to mention the castle-friendly torsos). I'm also a big fan of the Designer Sets. Does that count as a theme? It doesn't matter, I suppose. Designer, Make & Create, Freestyle, Basic... whatever you want to call it... it's all good.

I grew up on classic space, and have more of it than anything else. I've probably built far more spaceships than any other creations.
My other favorite theme is Expert Builder. Most of my mechanical understanding of how the world works can be directly traced to Expert Builder. (Actually, all the Technic's pretty good up until they started having primarily "studless" technic beams. Now it seems that you have to add the half-stud connectors to have anything to connect "real" Lego pieces to.)
As far as I'm concerned, there USED to be a Castle theme.
Everything else is just for parts. Good sets for parts are some of the Pirates, some of the Harry Potter, a few of the Space, and some of the Town sets.
But lately I've discovered the joys of Used sets. Maybe that would be a good LEGO Theme.
I wanted to ask this question, but did a search and found this topic. I hope it is ok to revive this one rather than to start a new one.
I would have to say that castle is my favorite theme, followed very closely by Pirates, and then the older space sets come in a distant third.
I really like all of the Pirates sets up to Skull Island (which would be 95 I suppose). Most of the space sets up to Spyrius are pretty good too. I really love the M-Tron sets (though I only had one) and the Ice Planet sets, and you can't forget about the old Blacktron and Space Police!

Adventurers. These are great. You can incorporate nearly any of the other themes into the Adventurers. I've recently become a huge fan of Johnny Thunder and company. And though it may get me banned, they are rapidly becoming my favorite theme. Though Castle is still my first love...
I also like Pirates, Star Wars, Town, Trains Space, Harry Potter, in somewhat of that order.
The theme I had almost every set in was western. I thought it was great and still do. So yea that themem was was close to me because that is what really got me started..... then I found videogames. ::tear:: which tore me away for a couple..... 5 years. And now I am back.
But yea western theme was my second favorite

I think its safe to say that most of Lego's themes are well done, and having any of them as a favorite is not out of the question. Well, except maybe the Time Travelers theme...

I actually like pirates probably a bit more than castle ... although castle is much more accessible, as you can get small castle sets, but the smallest real pirate ship(6268, beautiful ship, 6250 doesn't count) was about $40(although now that it's out of production, it's a lot more), and the smallest "good-guy" ship was about $50, and you had to have at least one of each for fun.

Okay?
It's BETTER to revive an old topic (especially one that never grew to gargantuan proportions and which never really went off-topic!)
For myself, I'm still into Castle mainly, and that's unlikely to change, but I HAVE grown a bit of a Space sideline, and I continue to have some Town standing. Everything else is parts.
Except for Johnny and his crew. Them and their car are kept together in case I ever need a classic treasure-hunter crew. Which I do, surprisingly often. You'd be amazed how many trips that guy's made to Castle-type places....
