Hey J man,
This set should now be available from Shop@Home in the US.

As Gedren Y mentioned, it happens sometimes that a set is released in Europe first, but it also happens sometimes that a set is released in the US first.

I saw this last night in the LEGO Store in Tigard Oregon.

Nice set. I used to balk at the prices of these Dacta minifig sets a bit, but now that minifigs seem to be $2-3 each, the price of this isn't so bad.

It's available here now, I saw it the other day at the Schaumburg Lego store. At 49.99 I thought it was a little pricey too, but that's really only slightly more than 2.27 per minifig plus you get all of the parts & accessories.
