Wow. It's been two years already? Time sure flies when you're having fun.
Oddly enough, I discovered Classic Castle almost right away. I had been googling for "lego castle" for over a month, and all of a sudden, there was Classic Castle. I joined about two weeks later.
Thank you to everyone - (especially the admins!) for making this site such an enjoyable one.
Here's to another two years!
"Bite off more than you can chew, then chew like heck"
Building, with no knowledge of any other lego fans except for a few local friends. I hardly used the internet back then. In fact, I think that was at my twelfth birthday, can you guess where I was? At Legoland for the first time.
I hope this site has more members and more years ahead.
Happy B-day C-C!!! I'm sorry I missed your birthday, I was busy yesterday. May C-C live on forever, the best Lego forum anywhere! HOORAY!
I remember when I first found C-C, and I'm sorry to say I was not one of the original members. I joined a year and a half ago, when I first started combing the net for Lego, and C-C was one of the first sites I joined. Thanks for everything.
A toast for C-C!!!
"When you are wrestling for possession of a sword, the man with the handle always wins." - Neal Stephenson, Snow Crash
To celebrate the occasion, here is a hymn dedicated to CC (I've altered the translated hymn of the USSR):
Unbreakable Union of freeborn bricks,
Great Lego has welded forever to stand.
Created in struggle by will of the people,
United and mighty, our Lego land!
Sing to the CC, home of the free,
Bulwark of peoples in brotherhood strong.
O website of CC, the strength of the people,
To Lego’s triumph lead us on!
Through tempests the sunrays of freedom have cheered us,
Along the new path where great Lego did lead.
To a righteous cause it raised up the peoples,
Inspired them to labour and valorous deed.
Sing to the CC, home of the free,
Bulwark of peoples in brotherhood strong.
O website of CC, the strength of the people,
To Lego's triumph lead us on!
In the victory of CC's deathless ideal,
We see the future of our Lego land.
And to it's fluttering red'n'wite banner,
Selflessly true we always shall stand!

When I logged in from Taiwan, I was really shocked to see that it had been 2 years already... wow!!
My experience with CC was very similiar to lemon_squeezer2's, I had been scouring the web for people who had used Castle LEGO to make stories or cool MOCs and what not, and I came across CW when it was in the process of splintering into CC and CW (aka, nothing). As a result, I was in the right place at the right time, and joined up right away... lucky me!
How many times have I told this story in the last two years?
