I can agree with Maedhros on this one - it's nice to see a Crusaders creation pop up... and of such huge mass too! This ship looks great - the sails have a nice pattern to them, and the masts are just the right proportion... I don't think the blockiness is a really big issue, but maybe I'm biased by seeing such a powerful tool in the hands of my faction. :)

Well done~
Knight Templar

Wow!
That is an really impressive ship! The scale fits very well to the minifigs and you have put a lot of details in it. Your sails are really cute and on and on... Did I meantion, that I like your ship? :)

The only contrary could be the height of the hull. Maybe it is 1-2 bricks to high for my sence, but I would not change a thing for now.

I'm impressed by any ship that doasn't rely on those 'hull' peices to convey the 'ship' message, but I'm not a fan of those sails. It might also look better with a yellow trim around the hull, but otherwise, looks good.

Thanks for all the kind words.
The brickshelf gallery is now public: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=212291

I wish I would of waited a couple days, then I could have entered this into the CCC IV contest...oh well.

This is really nice. I like MOCs that make bright colors look good, and the dark red is a nice touch. The hull is shaped nicely, especially at the aft. If I were to suggest an improvement, I'd say it could use some more functional details along the sides/railings, but I do quite like the ship as it is.

The brick sculpting you've done is impressive. The fact that you mixed in slopes really helps. I have no problem with the sails, but a yellow trim would definitely look good. My favorite detail has to be the black 1x1's.
