I did play around with the dark blue mixing with the pink and white (amongst a number of other combos) but the pastels worked best for me (visually and brick availability). I think dark blue would be better if it was the light blue, white and the dark blue... or no white at all... (although I did mess around with pink and dark red also)

Don't be embarrassed. I started a thread last month about how that set looked like a great source of parts. Great to see someone trying those raised baseplates for a castle MOC.
