Castle Jambalaya
It's a LEGO set whose first two digits are 60. I used an X for the last two digits to keep it a surprise.

Unless I am mistaken, there was a spacy peice when I got it. This peice I use more often for space, and I took a black one of those out for the specific reason to use it for space. I have never actually used this peice as a horse hitching, but I suppose one could......JoshWedin wrote:Space stuff?! What gives?Lego Knight wrote:By the way a lot of space stuff is in here.
Weird. Someone didn't read the directions...

The Jambalaya was hand-delivered to me on Sunday. I intend to mail it out on or before Saturday.

Got the Jambalaya today! Some neat stuff, though some people's definintion of 'castle' is looser than others- the firemen and police torsos cracked me up.
CVfan13, it wasn't 6037, and now only Rogue27 and I will ever know what it was...

Well I got the jambalaya today, but I guess my expectations were a little high. In the begining I thought this was a castle jambalaya, but I did not know that aliens, doctors, Duplo doors, and children's books fell under this category. I know that there was great stuff to begin with and I was getting all hyped about it, but at some point along the way someone screwed it all up.
Don't get me wrong I still think it's a great idea, but next time perhaps the requirement should be set on how long someone's been a member, not their post count. Even though it wasn't what I expected I will do it again when it comes around.
What I did take out were the minifig heads (the ones that weren't chewed on), the Good Wizard, a few dark bley parts, and an interestingly heavy black piece which I do not know exactly what it is. It could be a motor, or a battery, or something else, hmmm...

Edit: Oh, and I'll be shipping the box out tomorrow.

Heavy black piece? A 2x6x2 brick right? That would be a boat weight, I imagine. Not a bad piece to find, IMO. Good for trebuchet as it packs more weight in a smaller area.
If the original sender's perception of part value upon receiving the box is way below what they put into it to begin with, this may jeopardize future jambalaya activity.
If someone is concerned with that, there are several possible solutions for guidelines someone could set along with a jambalaya box, such as documenting part exchange or setting a rule to never decrease the value of the contents of the box based on Bricklink prices. Or you compromise and accept that you might get garbage back and opt to use smaller boxes. Documenting, however, would guarantee you find out who is stingy.

That sucks. I can't believe someone would put their trash in this. Shame on them!Hob Took wrote:Well I got the jambalaya today, but I guess my expectations were a little high.
