The greek guy for one, looks quite interesting. I wonder how he holds the shield?
There are a few good things in the second set. Looks like the surfer will give us a bare torso in yellow, which I've wanted for awhile now, and there are some nice hair pieces. But aside from the Greek warrior, I don't see anything that I'd want more than one or two of.

Anyway, on a side note; does anyone know the exact price of the collectable minifigs (S. 1)? Aren't they $2 (USD)? If someone could confirm, that would be great.
I noticed that the Crash Test Dummy appears to be a bit unsteady in his t-bar leg-connector piece between the legs. It's like you can make him wobble while standing like he's got to hit the bathroom. Anyone else notice this who has any of the figures? Or is that just the MO for the Crash Test Dummy (who is awesome otherwise).

They've started showing up in TRU this week, I happen to be in MI for work so I swung by the local TRU today and sure enough they had a box of them. I didn't have the barcode cheat sheet with me, but I did sort through them and tried to find different ones. I did pretty well, I ended up with two robin hood figures and two magician figures by accident but managed to get one of each of most of them. I'll have to go back later today with the cheat sheet and see if I can get the two I'm missing. I've heard these have been going fast, and people have been going in and buying the whole case as soon as they find them, so I was pretty happy to find a mostly full box.
The figures are pretty nice, although the plastic does feel kind of waxy. Especially the legs, and I noticed the "t" shaped piece that holds the two legs together on one of the magicians was a little loose, and the legs wobble to the side a little bit. I didn't notice any of the transparency issues that were showing up with the battle packs last year, and the printing seems to be pretty good. The bow and arrow also looks like a new mold and slightly different, although I'm not home and don't have anything to compare it with to check for sure.
Anyway, the accessories are great, a few of them I don't think are all that useful, but the different faces and hairstyles are by far the best part, and I think a few of the torso pieces will come in really handy. I'm certainly glad I picked them up.
FYI - I saw these this morning in the Cincinnati Lego store. I was in there last Sunday and one of the store clerks said the TRU release was an accident and they weren't supposed to come out until the middle of June, which she told me is when the Lego stores would start selling them. Before I headed back home this morning, I stopped by the store again to look for the Kingdoms battle-packs and they had several boxes of the collectible mini-figures. The limit was 5 figs per customer. I wonder if they moved up the release date since TRU more or less let the cat out of the bag? Either way, it may be worth checking out if you can't find them at TRU and happen to live near a Lego store.
The 5 unit limit is a way to keep "resellers" from hoarding large amounts (which is what they allow in TRU) and then resell online. But since TRU "let the cat out of the bag" rather early, the LEGO Stores released them early as well in order to compete as well as allow kids and parents to have the long awaited minifigs.
Looks like Lego shops and stores may be their only place of residence. My in-laws picked some up at Disneyland's Lego store yesterday and brought back some.
Just so you all know they are all random. That said I guessed 4 out of 5 right so if you do not mind being seen as a wacko at a lego store you could feel which sets they likely are. Got the robin hood/ forester guy, caveman, lucha libre, zombie and crash test dummy and they are awesome.
Well I just looked at the barcode decoder and am think I want to just buy a case. I don't want to have to stand in the store trying to compare all those, very similar, barcodes.

Deciphering the bar codes isn't too bad. I only received two funny looks as to say "why is that adult analyzing LEGO packaging so intently?"
