Exactly. So what do I do with the horns when I don't put them on? Donate them to the vikings? Nah, I'm just kidding. I just keep seeing review pictures of this set and everybody has what looks like bulls with udders. It's just funny, that's all. Hey, it's not that bad. I bought it, didn't I? Heh. Anyway, it's a great set and I hope everybody on here that wants one gets one.Karalora wrote:Why is that weird? Female cattle have horns. It's just that dairy ranchers usually remove them so that they don't hurt each other living in close quarters.KingDavid wrote:it's weird how the cows both have udders and both come with horns.

Got mine as a christmas present from my wife.
My wife had printed out the box-cover picture and hid it inside an orc minifig box and gave it as my christmas present. The set was mine to order when it came out, so i ordered it yesterday.

AFOL, Programmer etc.

I cannot say who was more excited about it arriving.... me .... or my wife. As soon as it came up that it was on lego s@h she bought it!
My mother-in-law got an castle advent calendar and now she is really into lego. She has been told it is for sale in the states and is going to buy it today or tomorrow.
So glad that TLC dropped UK price on it.
Happy day!

Ordered mine last night!

I'm sorry, but I find it funny that you've made that statement twice now. It appears to me that you haven't spent much time around real cows (correct me if I'm wrong). As Karalora said, female cows have horns too. In medieval times they didn't remove the horns, so this is historically accurate. In fact, not all farmers remove the horns today. Also some breeds are "polled", which means that naturally neither gender has horns. Horns do not equal Bulls. Lack of horns doesn't equal a Heifer. Never has, probably never will.KingDavid wrote:I just keep seeing review pictures of this set and everybody has what looks like bulls with udders. It's just funny, that's all.

AFOL and his money are easily parted.

Not to jump on you but it only looks funny to you because you've a preconceived notion that horns only grow on a male bovine. Lose that idea and it won't be funny to you anymore. Thanks to a few posts in this thread, you've become a little less ignorant today.KingDavid wrote: I just keep seeing review pictures of this set and everybody has what looks like bulls with udders. I've been so dang pumped up about this set since they wheeled it out at BC. Maybe I'll have to get me an early birthday present.

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

Nuts! So tempting, but I should wait till I go past Washington Square and finish off the last $100 of my stamp card...
...but it's so hard to wait...

I thought female cows had horns... Guess I was right.
I got my set yesterday. Though, for the first time ever, I got a set with missing pieces. Two of my roof pieces are missing...
