I don't see why not. This was never a problem a few years back when you could buy bagged figures like the defence archer for $2.00. That figure was up to the same standards as a normal minifig and included a number of bricks (and crossbows). When did it become okay to expect less?

Let's face it, LEGO's quality, while still top notch, has gone down a bit in the past few years. As you said, years ago you could get a bagged fig at the same quality as other set figs. Thing is, whether we like it or not, times have changed.

Still, I'll be returning to the LEGO store sometime this week to buy some more of these minifigs, now that I have my barcode sheet already printed out.

I just got 6 minifigs today. The quality is not as bad as being reported at all. The plastic seems softer, but there may be a purpose behind that. Maybe changing the formula helps keep the price down (which I am for) or maybe having softer accessories keep arms or torsos from cracking (again, a plus). I feel bad for those that report shoddy printing, and customers keeping a company in check is a good thing. Lego customer service has been great in my experience. Hopefully people don't abuse their service. Maybe it is the quality of the fans that have decreased. :sly: Yea, I said it.

I spoke with a worker at the Sacramento Lego store today and she said they had completely sold out of series one and would not be getting anymore. She said series two would be out in a few months, but did not have an exact date yet. TRU also said they had sold out and weren't getting anymore.

HURRAH! Now we don't need to listen to fans criticism of how 'bad' these figs were.

I was browsing ToyWiz.com today, and it appears that the Series 2 figs will ship sometime in September.

Yay! I went to Italy, and in a toy store there i found a basket filled with collectible minifigures series 1! I bought 8 of them (20€, 2.50€ each), I got:

- Spacemen (two, gave one of them to a friend)
nice helmet and nice zapper pistol (hair dryer)+ a quite new shorter trans light blue stick. 7/10
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
- Cheerleader
cool puffs and nice piece of hair, also a pair of rare skirt legs. 8/10
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
- Robot
new epic helmet, multi-use arm. 9/10
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
- Forestman
a modernized version of the good old ones. 9/10
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
- Ninja
boring, almost like the old ones, just a new torso and eventually face. 5/10
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
- Clown
2 new pieces, red afro and trumpet thing. 9/10
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
- Diver
also boring, because of no new parts, just new color scheme

That could make for a funny scene...

That would be a cool misprint.

I've checked my TRU three times now. Once on a Tuesday afternoon, and discovered that the collectibles and the box was gone. Once on the next Tuesday morning to only find an empty box. And once on a Thursday morning to find the spot where they keep them, filled in with more Lego products. I asked store workers every time if they had any, and they said no, or didn't know what I was even talking about. I'm going to the Lego store tomorrow (July 6th) and I'll let everyone know if I find any...

This line between what constitutes bad quality and what doesn't is awfully blurred.

Ooh, very nice. I'll be looking forward to these. However, I hope that the shoddy printing on the Hoplites legs won't be like that for all of them. :?

Its horrible quality, but it has potential for some fun MOCs.
