Whats next? I did the CIC and earned 5 personal points, or did I?

Do I have to wait for a global or local challenge?

I think I saw something about free builds, where I could also gain points, or am I wrong? I cannot find it

* SCORING AND STATUS POINTS *

There are two scoring systems in LCC: personal and global.

GLOBAL STATUS POINTS
Global status points are applied to your faction as a result of member participation in global building challenges. This scoring is used to build up your faction's status in the Kingdom.

PERSONAL STATUS POINTS
Personal status points are how you'll gain titles and status within your faction. You'll gain personal status by participating in global challenges, local challenges, and guild challenges.

GLOBAL CHALLENGES
Provincial Overseers will communicate on a regular basis to come up with a global building challenge approximately once every other month. These contests normally should progress the storyline of the kingdom in some way, but are not required to do so.

Each member of a faction will be allowed to submit one entry, which will score participation points for his/her region and for him-/herself, assuming any/all qualifying criteria are met. Depending on participation, the top 2-3 entries from each region will be selected by the Faction Overseer of that region for submission into the final round of judging. Once selected, the finalists will be placed into a public poll on the main CC forum for a community vote. Anyone can vote, even those who are not active in LCC. The overall winner will score bonus points for him-/herself and for his/her faction.

SCORING
5 global status points will be awarded to the home region of each participant, no matter how expert or novice the build, provided the build meets the entry criteria, if applicable. Each participant will also receive 5 personal status points, which will go toward his/her status within the faction. 20 bonus global points will be awarded to the faction of the winning MOC as a reward for exemplary citizenship, and 10 bonus personal points will be awarded to the individual winner.

MORE WAYS TO GAIN STATUS POINTS
Participating in a global challenge earns you 5 points, winning earns you 10 additional points. Participating in a local challenge earns you 2 points, and winning one earns you 5 points. Hosting a local challenge earns you 1 point. The host can also build an entry, but is not eligible to win. People wishing to host a challenge must get clearance from their Faction Overseer first. Local challenges can be held a maximum of 2 times per month per faction, and can either be independent of what the other factions are doing, or you can collaborate with one or more factions. Local challenges should not progress the storyline of the game. Keeping track of scoring is ultimately the responsibility of the Overseers, but they can enlist someone to help them keep track of it if they wish.

There was some disussion about free build but I think it was that one don`t get points for those.

Thanks! I also (bacause I have so much of them) see the fleshies as the desert 'race'. Especially the Prince of Persia minifigs. Therefore I would like to use them as such and the normal yellow figs as the slaves. So the fleshies are kind of the oppressors. At least that is what I see in my mind. I know it will be difficult for a lot of builders because they may not have these figs, but I thought it would be a good idea.
Those who want to use slavery can be allowed to use it, because it was a part of the time then and i don`t think it is only Loreos faction that use it.
But considering that almost everybody has yellow figs as the most fig they own, your idea that fleshies are the oppressor is a good idea. If someone want to use fleshies (I think they should be banned) the fleshies are the slaves not the other way around.
And Elderon the Order Knights of Justice will not be allow Slavetrading at all and hate slavers so beware your moves if you consider this , does not matter what faction you belong

I can see some prisoners of war working as slaves in the mines of Garheim

We'll allow free building for points also, with a max of 2 per month, and they will count for a couple points, most likely. Scoring for these free builds will not start until after PO's have been elected. So, you can certainly start a build now if you like, and then just submit it once we open the scoring for free builds at the end of the week.

No one seems to want to be a FO for Lenfald And it is the 5th already.
I don't think I would be very qualified as a judge even if I wanted to be FO. Which I don't, because I want to be able to have a chance to win the contests

Whoo, a couple of pages been added to this thread since I last came online!
My thoughts on some of the recently discussed topics:

No Guns/gunpowder/early firearms.

Slavery was a part of medieval society, there's nothing we can do about it. So as far as I'm concerned, it's fine. Just make sure you don't violate the ToS, I'm sure there's something about racism in there. If there's anything I hate, it's Megablox and racism.

Free building is always allowed, build what you want when you want, but don't expect to get extra credit for every MOC you build. One or two extra MOC's per month would be my limit.

I'm not sure if a fleshy is considered a race... No just kidding I understand and it will be more something of a small arc if my heroes goes to Loreos or something. I definately don't want to lay emphasis on slavery. Please don't get me wrong I just wanted to know if some people had the same views and thoughts when they thought about this. Especially since I'm totally wrapped in A Song of Ice and Fire which deals with that a lot. But ofcourse everybody fill follow the ToS, there is no need to not do that even handeling something as delicate as slavery.

So it looks like you are both on the kings council, both made all the final decisions on the outline of LCC and now have the FO and FL positions too. Way to share the power

I wonder the same as richard, now we have almost on every factions FO( not Lenfald) an commitee/royal member. I know that you have done a great job and will do an if you are FO and FL too, (and Outlaws and Loreos don`t even have anyone else as candidates and of course if nobody else are willing you are very welcome to be it )
But it isn`t fair against others that you guys want to do everything, when there are others who would be willing to help(like Richard)
So thats why I post this, it is not meant to offend anyone but I feel that we others would have a chance first at be nominated as FO and FL and then if anyone does not want it the commitee/royal members have a go at the election.

Ah right. Yeah that was my point also. I mean just because you set it up does not automatically mean you should get all the positions too.

I mean I know there are plenty of us who wanted to help create LCC but were denied and told early on that only a few would make the decision which is fair enough. But now those few have all the positions in the game as well. It takes the biscuit a little bit IMO

Well, mencot. The FO election is completely up to a vote. And if members of the Kings council get the most votes, they've won the election fair and square.
I understand that others want to be FO, but they have to be elected by the members of their faction by getting the most votes.

Ah yes but they are getting the most votes because they set everything up and people are nominating them as they are the ones they see doing things for the project as they are the only ones who have power to do it if that makes sense

Yes, and I think that's completely fair: people voted for them because people have confidence in their ability to run these things. The best reason to vote for someone, in my opinion.
So anyone who wins the vote, by having shown that they are able to run things, is the rightful winner by my view.

Totally agree, everyone knows they will do a good job, so why not vote for them?
