Take a look for yourself.

So what are the thoughts, clone brick? Self-mold? Something else?
He might have just painted one.

The ghosts look real to me, although he could have injection molded them.

Someone was recently talking about (on CC somewhere) about being able to buy a red, clear and black ghost for $250 so it's likely real is my guess.

I actually contacted him a few days ago. Here is what he said. (Oh and BTW he had it listed for sale on BrickLink for a few K usd)
Hello!

Thanks for the preview on the upcoming Castle sets!

> still sealed?

Actually the boxes on the wardrobe are opened boxes with used (yet complete)
sets in them. However, I happen to have quite a lot of these sets also in MISB
condition. I collected in three stages: First I tried to get all the models.
That's not too difficult. After that I realised I'd like to have boxes for all
these sets, so I collected those. After that I wanted to have at least the very
first Castle sets I got (back in 1984) in MISB condition, which ultimately lead
to getting almost all Castle sets in MISB condition. There are some sets
missing, though, but the major ones are present.

Sorry, no. There are three versions of the yellow Castle, significantly
distincted by the colour of the flags.
And the perfectionist that I am I need the boxes for all of these sets...

> 3) Where did you get the red ghost shroud piece?

I once bought a bag with assorted LEGO bricks on a flea market in Berlin/Germany
which had this red ghost shroud in it. First I didn't know where this might have
come from. Later I learned that there was (maybe still is) a factory in Berlin,
that makes molds for the LEGO factory in Billund/DK. So the red ghost probably
was a test injection. They usually use red material for their tests.
Actually this red ghost is not exactly useful, but it's cool to have such a
piece. So, no, I don't want to sell that, either :-)

Good luck with your collecting, and merry Christmas!

Bye
Jojo

Oh... :D

This thread is a bit old, so maybe I'm confused, but if not, I'd point out that you can see on the bottom that the member is Jojo... he's an old member here at CC and his stuff is good... not only that, he is famous for having at least one red ghost...

Anyway, no worries.

on a side note (but still related), there was an auction for one of these red ghosts on ebay (germany) recently. I bidded but didn't win. Can't spend 13 pounds on a piece of ghost shroud! :)

I saw a pale blue one at a specialist toy auction for 15000$!

I asked and the seller said there are only 1 of these in the world it is very very rare. I asked for it for 10$ and he said no
