I must say, these are looking better and better. Several comments:

1) The issue of which set gets which barding is cleared up. 7009 gets the gold barding, and 7093 and 7094 both get the silver barding (i.e. the one with the chainmail on the horse)

2) officially no plumes :( (like we didn't already know)

3) as ottoatm said, the prints on the euro armours (for the knights, king as well as the skeleton warrior) are quite cool. I actually like the king's 1 quite a bit, (though) I personally prefer it to be in chrome colours.

4) the return of the greatsword (round)! The king is holding a chrome gold 1, as far as i can tell.

5) It seems like the 7094 is only getting 6 good guys (well the humans) and 4 bad guys (skeletons). I still prefer the older distribution of about 80-90% inhabitants and 10-20% attackers (like in 6086), unless its specifically a seige set. but that said, i think building up a human army is probably relatively cheap, if the prices posted earlier are accurate.

6) One interesting note: the king is now a more "precious" fig. In royal knights, KKI and KKII, there are like tons and tons of kings, and it gets quite irritating after a while. I think this is a nice change :)

Erm that's all from me now :) I will almost certainly get everything, hopefully the 2 bigger sets on a sale :)

These pics only further solidified the fact that I am going to purchase each and every one of these sets, multiples of some.

Saying that I am excited does not even break the ice.

I hope TLG realizes the kind of buzz this is generating and kicks up production. I'd hate to be unable to procure these sets in a timely fashion. Multiples of these sets.

I'm blown away.

I was just looking closely at the big picture of 7094, and I noticed a couple of things that hadn't hit me before. These have probably been discussed in detail already, but I haven't read this whole thread.
--Just behind the printing that says New-Nouveau there is a portion of the wall that seems to swing out. Is this a secret door? Or perhaps this is for the attackers breaking down the wall?
--Marblized parts are cool.
--Fairly obvious, but this is a great army builder:
---7 figs
----2 chain mail torso patterns
----2 plate mail torso patterns
----3 printed euro armor
---3 new skeletons (2 white 1 black)
---6 helms (plus a crown)
----2 castle helmet with neck protector
----2 castle helmet with broad brim
----1 shadow knight helmet
----1 helmet with pointed visor
---1 horse with barding and battle helmet, angular
---11 shields
----3 ovoid with crown on a quartered field
----5 triangular with crown on a quartered field
----1 ovoid skeleton pattern
----2 round skeleton pattern
---a bunch of weapons
----2 bows/arrows (which we haven't seen since 2002, according to Peeron)
----2(?) quivers (missing since 2003, according to Peeron)
----2(?) crossbows
----2 halberds
----2 clip-on axe heads
----2 pikes
----1 gold chrome greatsword (only seen in one prior set)
----1(?) classic sword (missing since 2002, according to Peeron)
----2 new sword/scythe weapons
----1 new flail
----1 lance

BTW, this is not a castle observation, but those trans blue double lightning bolt things (3 of them in the Skeleton Tower) look perfect for the "force lightning" - Emperor zapping Luke near the end of Return of the Jedi.

Bruce take a look at the King's auro armor, it looks like chrome gold to me, with a print on it possibly? It's definitely shiny.

Lugnet has received official, large, high quality pics of the 2007 Castle line:
Very nice.
Overall, its looking great.

A few negatives:
Those maces are pretty ugly and the printing on the wizard's hat is tacky.
The dragons are of course, awful looking.
Unfortunately, it looks like theres only one brown horse in all the sets. The others have white horses (no black horses?).

Positives:
I like the inclusion of those small lightning bolt pieces in the Skeleton Tower set. They look splendid!
The bardings look fantastic up close!
The new torsos look great up close.
The bow n arrow is officially back as are the old style helms & swords!!!
(I was afraid TLC might change their minds in the end...thankfully they kept true to the old weapons and helms)
The female fig looks great up close...whats a beauty!
I'll actually buy all of these sets for sure.

The new pix are almost as cool as the new sets. They are big and fun to look at. I am selling my Blood to buy lots of CASTLE Lego.

From the Big Pix I have noticed a few things...

The Skeletons faces are great. The red beaty eyes are awesome. They are not the happy skeleton faces, but look menacing.

The Ladies hair is like the new HP hair and is very welcome as is her dress new and lovely.

I was looking at the construction on the Prison Wagon. The Wagon itself is nominal but good, but the way it connects to the dead horses is very clever, I like it a lot.

I also noticed the soldiers do not have a huge Healdry Bage but small ones, either a belt buckle or a design on the neck peice on their torsos.

It is nice that there will be many differnt helmets and weapons available.

I am really excited, more excited that KKII. that is funny.

Yes, I think you are right! Gold chrome with printing! Dang it, I don't want to wait 5 more months.

I don't know about that. It looks like the armour is the same flat gold (pearl gold) we've seen LEGO produce for the past few years. Remember, these images are heavily photoshoped. Not all that glitters is gold.

As for the sets themselves: NICE!!!

Everything is looking fantastic. My only gripe is that the smallest set (an obvious army builder), doesn't come with any shields for the Crown soldiers. This could be a bit of a problem for building up a large army. I'm really liking these Crown Knights. Looks like I'm going to have a surplus of skellies and skele-horses to sell.

And boy does that maiden look nice. She will probably command a VERY high price on bricklink  . The king's armour is looking great as well. I wonder if the armoured minifigs will have any printing on their actual torsos. Given the effort being put into this year's line, I'm hoping the answer is in the affirmative.

I'm guess that the second smallest set - the catapult set - comes with 2 soldiers & 3 shields. One shield is just hidden as it is attached to the other side of the catapult. 2 catapult sets equip the set with the two soldiers w/o shields.

Still not ideal, but it is another way to get extra shields without buying the castle.

Wow, great point - I can't wait to see someone put that together... in that respect, it's too bad they aren't a little longer~

I wish that I was that cool  .

The quote your thinking of is;

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wonder are lost;
The old that is strong does not whither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadow shall spring;
Renewed shall be the blade that was broken:
The crownless shall again be king.

The comment I made was little more than an old proverb. Still, Bilbo's words are better than mine, and certainly carry an air of truth when it comes to LEGO castle. LEGO is certainly fixing alot of past mistakes with the 2007 line.

I wish I was as cool as Bilbo  .
