Can I kindly suggest you take your time to read this please, and then continue this discussion?

Seb, do not try to enforce vigilante justice here, this is not your territory :D. Not everyone has as much as time as you do on their hands to read the whole topic :P I'm just kidding of course. :D

I would have been delighted if a kid was to steal my MOCs. As I always say, there is no such thing as bad publicity in this world.

Even if your [original] creation is not acknowledged or recognised? :?

Yes, even that. I build to have fun and relax and also share it with the community; not to gain reputation, recognition what so ever. So as I said, it wouldn't bug me at all.

I suppose, but there's no escaping the truth that it still seems wrong and indecent on the offender's part, regardless of whether the true builder minds or not.

With your argument in mind though, it's further reason why they shouldn't be claiming others works for their own- it's clear they want repuation, and are willing to go to notorious lengths to get it. Regardless, at the risk of going slightly further away from the original post, i'll shut-up now.

Well, I'd like to say a few things:
1. If someone copied your MOC, contact them directly and privately. That will make them very nervous.
2. If they copied your friends' MOCs, tell your friends to say something too.

These are basically your typical fanboys but without the actual skills. So what's one to do? Cheat (or plagiarize from someone) to give the "appearance" of 1337. the good news is that the problem with tweens goes away when they are older. Mostly as a result of improving intellectual skills or dexterity. The brain isn't mature until around age 22 for males. So eventually they will become good through practice. If an older guy decides to plagiarize, then it's more of an issue.
I feel offended! I'm 13, and I haven't copied anyone's MOCs!

Don't be. The person is talking about the teens who have copied, and you clearly said yourself you haven't copied. You pretty much contradicted yourself.
