Very cool, Ben. Thank you once again.
Hast thou given the horse strength and clothed his neck with thunder? He paweth in the valley, and rejoiceth in his strength. He swalloweth the ground with fierceness and rage. He saith among the trumpets, Ha, ha; and he smelleth the battle afar off...

FWIW...

This worries me, because now that the whole world is going to know about this, we castle fans may have trouble getting our orders in before they sell out.

Is this going to affect our order efforts? If so, I may try to order. If not, I may let others get the calendars that way and just continue with this route.

This way and our way are the same way. However we, the ambassadors, were instructed that this information was not for the general public, only for AFOLs. I have misgivings on having this information posted to TBB for this reason.

EDIT: I must have misread, we weren't "instructed", but the wording was strong that these sets were intended for AFOLs, which is why its not going to be on the S@H website.

Hmmm, I'll have to get someone else to make the call for me at that time, as I'll be working. And even then, there's no guarantee that I'll snag one before they sell out. That would be a disappointment. :?

Wait, so we flood the phone lines at noon tomorrow along with everyone else? Or are some sets "set aside" for Ben's list? I don't mind calling, if that's the deal, although I do prefer to gang together all my S@H items to save on shipping (which is of course subject to the lovely we-have-a-Lego-store-in-our-state sales tax).

I figured they were connected, as the limits were the same.

So all of us who signed up on the list should call tomorrow?

Well, it's still not that bad - not every LEGO fan reads TBB. Not to mention that if they sell out in less than a day, Lego might decide to make more available - they'd be selling like hotcakes, why not? Although to be safe, I've already ensured that a set will be ordered for me at noon.

Seems that way. I can't say what Ben knows at this moment in time, but it looks like all of Ben's hard work at collecting email addresses was for naught. I'm sorry, Ben.

It is too bad that this had to happen, but thanks to everyone involved in trying to put this together, I really appreciate it.

Hi everyone,

Those who have signed up on the list and emailed me should check their inboxes. Thanks. You will still have to call Shop at Home tomorrow. Our orders will not be set aside.

This is so awesome. I am so excited! Even more excited because I didn't have any idea how much it would cost.

Just got my email too, and immediately came here. ;) I hope my link to TBB didn't cause too much panic. Contrary to my fears when I first saw the TBB story, I now think this is great. Not only is Lego making the calendar available to us at a good price, but they're actually trying to get the news out there and make it available to other AFOLs who might not have seen this thread.

Ben, thanks again for your efforts in making this happen! And thanks to the folks at Lego too!
