I work at a TRU store in Western PA. Three new Pirate sets showed up today. Battle with cannon, the giant octopus and raft, and shipwrecked island - or some names close to this. :!:

All of the same in Chattanooga TN today. I'm in love with the one-eyed pirate wench!

They are at the Green Bay TRU as well. Most of the sets (kraken attackin, cannon battle and loot island) were still up at the top in the shipping boxes. Only the pirate fort was on the shelves. They also had a few new City sets.

Le sigh. No pirate sets at TRU in Austin, Tx. I am getting jealous of those of you who are finding it.

I need to find a better paying job.

A few pirates have been sighted at the Toys"R"us in Williston Vermont.

I saw only two #6253 Shipwreck Hideout sets left and I bought one of them.

Received in extras:
1x epaulette in blue
1x epaulette in pearl gold
1x technic pin in bley
1x oar in white
1x new skeleton arm in white
1x 1x1 slope in reddish brown
2x 2x2 round brick in reddish brown(loose, not in the bags like the rest)

No pirate impulse sets, only had the Orc Warrior, City Sweeper and Canoer impulse sets. I didn't see any pirate sets on the top shelves.

For those on the east coast... One TRU in my area had shelf space for the sets but were completely cleared out; another had several copies of the three the sets that've been mentioned, the piratey-island exclusive, and both Impluses. So they're out there!

I picked up the Shipwreck Hideout, Cannon Battle and Pirate Impulse set at TRU in Boardman OH. I passed on the Kraken Attack and Soldier Impulse set. Thanks for starting this thread, it got me treasure hunting. :D

I'm curious, maybe someone can answer this for me:

How can these sets be available locally but not listed or for sale on the actual Lego/S@H website?

Is this timed exclusivity in regards to these stores who maybe have a deal to get these sets out first, or is it just negligence on TLG's part in not listing or selling them? And what about international markets- if this was the case why do we have to suffer?

It maybe deserves a thread of it's own, but I thought i'd slip it in here.

Just wanted to add the four of the sets are available on toysrus.com and they are all at the normal msrp surprisingly (tru is notorious for adding on a couple extra bucks ;)). They don't have the port/fort, ship, or impulses though...

Well someone's found the new pirate ship, apparently (pictures are fairly large and slow-loading):

QB you have way more luck than I.

I was at TRU in Niles OH, no pirates. Not much of anything.

Waiting to hear from my brother in law today as to sets being at the Cranberry TRU.
