I've played the 1989 and 2003 installments of the Prince of Persia franchise, and enjoyed them both.

Like many of you, I suspect that Prince of Persia will yield many cool new parts. I also realize that Disney + LEGO is good for LEGO, but I'm concerned that by taking back the Disney license from MB, TLG is only going to add to its brand confusion.

That said, the LEGO + Pixar aspect of the Disney deal does open up the future possibility of some really cool things, like LEGO Wall-E. :)

I am pretty excited about the PoP sets. Of course, in my mind, they're screenshots of the game turned into sets. I just can't seem to get the "movie" thing through my head. Oh well.

No comment on Toy Story or Cars sets, at least for now.

I look forward to seeing any elements produced in the lego Toy Story sets.
I've never played Prince of Persia, but by the sound of things it should have some good pieces made easily availible.

I had the pleasure of watching a friend play Prince of Persia a year or two ago, and the game was visually stimulating to a high degree. I am not sure what types of sets will come out, but im certainly hoping the AFOL community will be able to enjoy whatever comes from the line. As long as there are a fair number of useable parts in the sets, I know i'll be happy...

Ah, more licensed Legos... which was what I considered part of the fall of modern Lego (sure it gets the kids, but they don't use their full imagination with licensed products). They have to do what sells, since they're a business.

But Toy Story, which came out years and years ago??? And Cars??? Prince of Persia sounds like it might work out for a castle fan.

Don't forget, there's supposed to be a new Toy Story out next summer (2010). Should spark a revival of interest.
