Now, the "horned" celtic helmets of earlier times used metal, but those were bronze and not iron. More objectionable is the size and angle of the horns (Frazetta's Conundrum, or for those that have never seen the painting in question, the horns interfer with overhead swordarm motion), but heck, that isn't going to exactly bother many children - it's a mythic/fantasy presentation, so I have less of a problem with it from that respect. I'll just use the "flaired helm", with and without aventail, and Red Bean's viking helmet, if I want a more historical look.
I cant say that it was something I said to TLC, just my own humble opinion, and notice the little smilie in the end... ;)

Now to get this "debate" over, lets go buy some sets shall we? :D

I wonder...

Would those "horn-holes" accomodate those dragon-wing plumes...

If so, I think that would look incredibly awesome...

No, they don't, but the banana and/or flame do :D

Stuifzand, have you tried to put in the wing's in the opposite direction? It fits perfectly since its in the grip-size.

I have no idea how... I tried some ways, but that didn't work out.

Thank you for the demonstration!

However, for those of us that have their LEGO handy (alas, not me, or I'd answer the question myself), just compare the reverse winglet to the flame base. If they are the same size, then the winglet will fit, too.

Both can be held in a minifig's hand. Ergo, they should both fit in the socket.

Good enough for me!

Thanks, guys.

I think that two banana's would make a perfect pair of oversized horns.

Overall, looks pretty good. I could do without the bionicle dragons etc, but if you get rid of most of the goofy looking catapults there are some nice big sets there.

Back at home - yup, anything that sockets into the hand should fit (so if you really want to put gems in there, you can do that, too). But I think I might like the wings better than the horns.

:D I took the wrong plume...

Here's the proof it does fit ;)

Why am I thinking about Asterix and Obelix right now?

And, when in a very festive mood:

EXACTLY what I was thinking... Good to see that it looks great.

And I totally think Asterix and Obelix would work... with white plumes...

If anyone has picture requests, I just got my Viking sets in (all but the catapult, in multiples :)), so let me know.
