I have two or three favorites from official LEGO sets.

One that really ties the Classic Space into more modern sets was the Space Police 2 Chief.

For Castle it is a bit harder to choose, but I'll go with this one: Dark Forest's widely recognized outlaw leader.

There are of course many others I favor, but we do have to limit ourselves. Occassionally.

Good thread and read my favorite minifig (torso) well not one so I added a few;

Castle As a standalone minifig it would have to be the Black Knight from set 6009.

Town I really like the non violent interaction display of minifigs in set 1592 especially the Patron minifig and the three button vest figure.

Favorite minifig with interesting history
I really enjoyed how the Lego chess king kept getting resurrected in KK1 sets 6091 & 4817 and was used in the my own creation Blacksmith Shop set 3739.

Favorite current minifig for the same reason as the chess king I am really enjoying the resurrection of Majisto the Wizard and the use of the Viking torso under the kings amour in the new castle line.

That's tough. Maybe a baby blue knight...with a sword that looks too spacey...on a horse with wheels instead of legs. Yes, that one.

In all seriousness, I love the brown studded torso Forestman. Especially in Mr. D's avatar. But the Knight's Procession figs are hard to beat.

My favorite Pirate is:

But I'm not sure why. I also like the tattered red shirt pirate. They're the closest to authentic (None of this nonsense striped shirt.)

My favorite custom is The Red Samurai. I can't remember his name, but you know who you are. The GG mask is brilliant.

I like Majisto, and was really happy to see the first wizard show up in a set.
I also love all the forestmen.

But I think my absolute favorites are the jousters in 383. (One of the earlier sets I got, and of course one of the first castle sets I got.) As a kid, I always used one or both of these guys as the hero.

Those knights are awesome, but too bad how they are worth about $30 each on Bricklink, or i would buy them.. nice helmets they have, and torsos!
