The new sets are perfect army builders, that´s my reason to buy them.

Finally I've gotten my hands on some of these and I really like it. I wasn't convinced on the shiny armour at first but in person it's actually starting to grow on me (plain bley would still have been to prefer though).

The figs were very nice overall though, not quite KKI quality but it's not far off...

I have heard that the sets are now at my Walmart, but still have to check for myself. I will probably head out there tomorrow. Hopefully, my wait will be over.

I may be going to Target today with my brother, so I'll have to bring some dough and check out what the LEGO inventory is currently like. :P

Got my Castle in the mail today. Sup'a sweet. Unfortunately the battery died on my digital camera before I could take pictures of the Castle itself, but I did manage a few pictures of the Crown faction figures:

Before anybody asks - yes, I've uploaded the images into my 'Crusaders' folder. That is because in my LEGO world, the Crown Knights are a part of the Crusader faction. More specifically, the King is .. well, the King - and the crown-emblem minifigs are his royal guard (with the heavily armoured knights being his paladins).

Ties everything together neatly, if you ask me.

Oh, one more picture:

Decided that the main Paladin needed a better sword - so I gave him a modified Little Armory sword with runes painted down each side of the blade. Beat that skull-faces!

This stuff really does rock, though. The Castle and minifigs are great, and the new silvers are very, very nice. Unfortunately, the drawbridge operation for the Castle is utter trash. LEGO. . you could have done WAY better than that. But still, fantastic set. One of LEGO's best, if you ask me.
Forge not works of art but swords of death, for therein lies great art.

Does anyone know where I can find a parts list for the Kings Castle Siege? If so , could you please post a link?

BrickLink should have one soon. (here's the link to the set there.)

Also peeron is a good place to look, once it's uploaded. Direct link

And one more option is to ask someone with a digital camera, and the set to take a hi-res image of the inventory page of the instructions.
(unfortunately I don't have a digi any longer...so I'm no help there :( )

Wait, Chris what happened to your camera? You have pics on Flickr that I assume were taken with your camera. Or was it someone else's camera...

The boat looks... halved. :?
The size of the hull compared to the rest of the ship makes it look rather odd. But the castle looks really good!

I agree that the ship looks a little odd.

However, I am liking the sail, the castle (espacially the roofed part), and, does that look like an old pirate hat on the...captain?...of the ship?

Yeah, the body of the ship was what I was mainly talking about, but the details are still nice.

Aah, another ship for the fleet. I like the wall/gate fortification, but my main attraction is the ship. I don't know if I'll retain it as castle oriented, or add it to my pirate collection. Either way, a great addition.
