i agree it would make it more midevielish (if thats a word) with a bar and or tiled floors but i just dont think lego may do that because there not trying to make it super realistic. remember there are skeletons. but a small set would be nice!

1. work!
2. work harder!
3. When all else fails.....BUILD LEGOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we fly to victory!' said the dragon king.

That torso doesn't exist in any current set. That's why we are all excited to see a picture of it up close and personal.
Has lego ever come out with a tavern/bar for the town collection? I doubt it... so I would imagine a tavern for our line is not coming ever... However any domestic building, bakery, inn, etc. could easily be converted.
I think everyone would agree that any town building would be incredible for the AFOL's.

Dale,
I'd like to see one of the Creator series having a medieval building set. Of course there are a number of creator/castle sets I'd like to see. Boats, buildings, small fortifications, carts, siege engines to name a few.
At least we have some people for towns now. I have a dock full of merchant ships without merchants... or buyers.

As Jojo pointed out, they have made numerous sets with minifigures drinking. New sets like the calendar will likely continue this tradition. I doubt the keg in 6060 is filled with water.kibosh wrote:Yes, but none of those three sets would lead me to believe they sold alcohol, as a bar/tavern would.
I agree with previous posts. I don't see Lego producing a set related to alcohol.

The Danes know how to have a good time

Ben
Also, the Viking Ship and Double Catapult both had similar kegs -but it's up to the FOL to decide if there's alcohol in the keg or not.
I can't wait to get this calender set -if only LEGO would produce more civilian based sets -or just included civilian elements more frequently into the regular action-packed Castle sets.

I with you on that, Jojo. Probably old grape juice. Stuff that's been in old dusty bottles in the basement.Jojo wrote:They probably sell grape juice.

AFOL and his money are easily parted.

i know wow! it would be very cool if creator built some more castle themed mini sets though you have to agree with that. I think that whole drinking tradition will continue in the advent calander. after all they did drink in the middle ages. oh yeh, the witches dress will be a never before seen torso and i think she may be in future sets(2009 maybe)

My barrels have always been empty I should complain...
They certainly did drink but the time it took to make strong drinks was not available for most. I read something about how low the alcohol count was in English ale in the 14th and 15th and it was quite surprising. This was based on some barrels used for fermentation that were found by some type of chemicals it leaves. You have to literally drink a score of gallons to be plastered at the time.
That said the well off could afford whatever they likely really, though it should be made mention some did not. King Louis of France refused all wine etc. and did drink Grape juice and water.
