Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed. ~G.K. Chesterton
When he heard about the plans to invade the Magic Isles, Slikver knew that traditional Garheim fighting styles wouldn't hold up in the vastly different landscapes of the island. He took his men to the south to train in the open fields just outside Ayleth castle. Slikver belives training heavy calvary is essential to being able to run down the hordes of outlawsa that will no doubt try to defend the islands. Here he observes his heavily armored knights charging down the grassy plains in a wedge formation. The land is also being used for training grounds by the infantry and siege units.
I think that will be allowed on the magic isles, out there, there can't bee to much magic and fantasy

Ted Thug decided to help defend the Magic Isles with his fellow outlaws. Unfortunately, Ted does not know the first thing about magic, however, he heard of a wizard who sells magic wands that turn your enemies into chickens. "That old man's just a crazy old wizard," everybody told him. But Ted, believing he has found the secret weapon sure to destroy the incoming armies, would not be swayed and purchased his very own "Chickenator 3000" magic wand. "Can I get a demonstration?" Ted asked the old man. "You see all these chickens around here?" The old man asked. "What more demonstration do you need?" Ted was convinced...
Hey guys here is my (Phase 1) entry into the LCC: GC3.
LCC Global Challenge 3 (Phase 1)- "Battle Plans"
Backstory:
The great eastern gate of Fangroth is usually bustling with a great throng of people traveling in and out of the city on some business, or to buy and sell their wares in the great Bazaar of Fangroth, but not this day. Today a different sound fills the streets of Fangroth, the sound of clattering armor and horses hooves pounding the soft sandy ground of the streets. Lord Tathann has sent out a command that every man and young boy eighteen years of age and older is to join the great armies of Fangroth and march to the Magical Isle to rid Roawia of the clan of Shadow Force once and for all. Sir Benjamin Toft, Headmaster of the renowned Toberg School of Warefare also rides toward Fangroth where he will join forces with Lord Tathann, the other two lords (Lord Marvrann of Lenfald and Lord Falcus off Garheim) along with the Battlemaster of the (current) Knights of Calmonn. Above the great noise and clatter of the soldiers the anthem can still be heard loud and clear.
For Fangroth, for the Prince and for the glory of this great land of Loreos.

Kroth Stonegrinder was happy to see that many of the structures of Havenhill were starting to be rebuilt after the attack of the giant serpent this summer. Kroth stopped by the the blacksmith shop as he was told that there would be something that he wanted to see. As Havenhill was preparing for war with the outlaws and all the creatures that live on the magical isles, they had created a ballista that was able to fire very large bolts. Kroth knew that he would need all the power that he could muster for the attack.

The basic story is that before the invasion, Leif goes to a wise old man's tower for advice on attacking the magic island. The old man doesn't tell him much, but gives him the map to an entrance to a network of underground tunnels that lead underneath several of the cities on the magic island.
