It's in Sam89's collection of photos(dug up from who knows where) linked to here.

There are two. The first features a mail pattern in silver. The second features a gold pattern and light and dark blue divisions. The silver one features a dark blue covering for the horse's head, whereas the gold one features a golden covering. Take another look.
should that be "lightning brick"?

It should.

I must say that the new scimitar/scythe blade looks extremely nice.

So...anyone still think these are a hoax? I figure it's all a big conspiracy by the French Toy Fair people. ;)

They obviously read this post from the previous thread from Sir Nelson
Sir Nelson wrote:Funny that no one has mentioned that there is no official "LEGO" logo on this image. Think about it.
The French people decided to help out on this big conspiracy to get everyone's attention off of the Pirate theme being brought back. Yea, that's it.

Just when I was quite happily slipping into a dark age TLG had to go and spoil it all by creating this new line  I expect I shall be purchasing all of these sets (some many times over) :)

I hope that TLG flesh this line out with more 'fantasy' baddies (trolls, goblins etc). Quite easy if they haven't destroyed the moulds from Harry Potter. Overall I'm very happy, especially after seeing the toy fair pics. I know they're still prototypes but my wallet is smoking a little already

one of the Lowlugmembers has created a mirror of the pages with pictures from this toyfair, because the Freelug server is under heavy load.
You can find it at

http://files.netsence.com/lego/lego2007-2/

Has anyone noticed the flail is put in different ways in the pictures? Looks like the chainpart is flexible. That would be great :D

Thanks, I can view the pics at a reasonable timeframe now. And no, I don't think the flail is flexible, they just have it angled differently in different sets.

Also, in this pic: http://files.netsence.com/lego/lego2007 ... CN0229.JPG, you can clearly see the King is holding a chrome gold sword!
Edit: Actually that pic shows a lot if you look close, in the lower right corner of the model, you can see a technic pin connection, possible room for expansion, a la classic stuff? (There's nothing in this line that points to that, but maybe they'll hold on to it for 2008?)

Ahhhhhh... :D I don't think I've been this excited about a large Castle set (the castle itself) since the 80s. The new line's Castle looks great by itself (yahoo for four walls!), and I'm sure can be made superb with some tinkering and additional bricks here and there.

Yay!

Awww, they took the large shields off those towers and put kite shields on them.

The rest looks great, I like that there's two types of bardings, and tons of weird new pieces.

After looking at some of the photos, there's good and bad.

So, are these FINAL products, or still Prototype show-offs for the Toy Show?

Big Castle:
1) The castle lost the cool angled corners with windows, and instead have 45° corner pieces (are those stickers on them? They look kind of icky).
2) The castle is shorter now. The whole front is at least 1 full brick shorter, the back right tower is 1 brick shorter as well. The extra crenellations around the front towers are removed (they LOOKED cool, but other than that, they didn't serve much purpose anyway)
3) The drawbridge is slightly shorter (2 I think), and lost most of the brown tiles on top (doh!)
4) The front of the castle isn't as deep now (look at the loss of the nice arch on the left side, and the 'holes' in the rock on both sides along the ground).
5) Pointy visor is in! Woohoo!
6) The green on the BURPS out front is different (different coverage, not different color).
7) Torches are moved around, at least one is added.

I could play spot the differences all day, but does it really matter? I'm sad at the loss of those brown tiles, and I'm disappointed by the dragon. It is WAY cooler than the old Dragon-Masters dragon, but after how much I liked Nidhogg, this one is a let down.

On the Evil Fortress, the Jaw-bridge is much shorter, can't tell much else...

The carriage, still has it's 3 skele-horses! I think they don't look very good with regular minifig legs in the 'saddle' (from the Joust picture), but maybe with skeleton-legs they'll look better. Looks like the chrome scimitar is gone (those things are monstrously silly looking anyway), and a Viking-style double axe is in. Can't tell if it kept as many skeletons as it had before though.

Also a RANGE of skeleton heads. There are the new red-eyed evil ones (see the evil fortress, the rider in the wagon set), as well as lots of old evil smiley ones.

So, good and bad. Nidhogg really spoiled me for dragons though, I don't think I'll like these new ones. If only Nidhogg came out AFTER these new dragons!

Wow, new developments. There are two new bardings. Yesss!!! I like the dark grey one a lot more, which is awesome, because I can use the Blue one as a base to put a BF decal on. Hurry up and release these, LEGO!
