Also, the idea that a KK2 fig doesn't fit in with a Castle world is a bit silly. If you stick, say, a fully-armoured Black Knight in a group of Crusader soldiers, then he is, of course, going to stand out from them - just as a KK2 knight would. But if you have a whole group of Black Knights facing a group of Crusader soldiers, then it doesn't look so odd. - just as if you had a whole group of KK2 knights, they'd look (relatively) normal.

In your opinion of course  .

For me, most of the KKII Knights would look more at home fighting Stormtroopers or even my stockpile of Harry Potters (Dumbledore's Army). For you youngins, KKII probably looks fine with the oldschool stuff, but for geezers such as myself, these spacemen simply look too out of place. Numbers don't have anything to do with it.

Still, I'm glad that this generation of builders is enjoying these guys. Afterall, LEGO is first and foremost for creative youngsters. We geezers are just along for the ride 8) !

Later.

Just a friendly reminder, this thread is about the upcoming KK2 sets, and not how KK2 knights look versus Black Falcons, or if they look like spacemen, or if they look good in large numbers.

If you say so

I can't wait for pics of the new knights. I think they will blend well with both the kk2's and the older lines as well. All of them except for the Rogue Knights maybe. It doesn't matter if they're yellow, gold or fleshies, they'd have to fit in a catagory of their own.

I think the rouge knights might be handy as Morcia's mercenaries (try saying that five times fast :D ) rather than allies of vladek.

At least we can have some generic good footsoldiers

Yep, this new thing called generic foot soldiers might be useful.

The Rogue Knights might switch sides in the official storyline, but I don't think they would be mercenaries for Morcia.

For the people who don't ever visit that kk2 flash site over at TLG, it has been updated!

it looks like dracus and karzan are allies with vladek, this should make interesting sets, including the new weapons. i want a minifig flail!
i hope the new minifig armour isnt as bright as the last, if it was a darker tone i could live with it, eg sir santis' armour in the colour of vladeks (aka dark red) would look a lot more appealing and realistic, danju im fine with, jayko im fine with but rascus could also be improved with darker armour, who agrees?

I'm a little worried that the new KK2:3 set Battle at the Pass, is one of the small little KK sets.

For example: Vladek encounter, Fireball Catapult, and Battle at the Pass?

Hopefully Battle at the Pass is not a little 2 minifig set.

Hopefully.

"Batte at the Pass" unlike the other two, is implying that there are more minifigs. Otherwise it would have been called something like "Duel" or "fight" or something.

I don't really mind either way, I'll be happy with 4 minifigs.

I'm hoping it's one of the small $7 sets.

Well, the Mistlands Tower looks to be roughly £30 ($55) so I can imagine Battle at the Pass being the big, ultra set for the 2006 KK2 line.

Ten to fifteen minifigs plus a lot of terrain and fortifications will probably add up to that. That was what a lot of megablox Dragon sets did.

If this "Battle at the Pass" set is the major set for Kk2:3, it could be the army builder of army builders, or at least an impressive collection of figs and (good) siege machines. Think of the "Bulls Attack" set, in which you got a lot of bulls and some good catapults that actually worked.

Of course things could go horribly wrong, but I believe that if "Battle at the Pass" was the major set for release three, I would be a hopeful little collector.
