Probably my only rarity is a mess up on some robot legs. The gold paint is all over the legs. I don't have any castle rarities though. Just the usual. I really want some pitch forks and peasent torsos :( ...
I'm might be lucky, but also it might come from browsing EBay for like 10 hours a day  . Thats what it feels like. Sonetimes I find awesome lots, but they got for too much.

My only rare-like-a-red-ghost-showd type thin is my Dark Brown Bow. I also got this off of EBay.

Cheers,
Thomas Wunz <><

I hate to burst your bubble, but many of the early bows and quivvers were a dark brown. This is especially true of the 1984 sets. So they are rare, but not super rare.

 , thanks OK. I figured that it wasn't really as rare as a red ghost shrowd(it was exaderation), but it is the only one I have ever seen. So, by this, I guessed that it was pretty rare.

Hey Remyth? When you take pictures of your characters for the RP can you take some pics of that bow? I wanna see excatly what shade of brown it is, so I can see if I have any.

Lots of rare legos out there... Yet none are in my hands.

This cracked me up, because its so true. I like to collect "rare" lego, so I am much to blame as any other collector. But really the "rare" stuff isn't that rare. It is merely harder to find and, therefore, more expensive. Its not really rare. And I will readily admit that I like having rare pieces for the bragging rights! (Naughty, naughty Josh, but its the truth...)

I would like to meet the person that this doesn't apply to.

I like to show off my 'rare' peices as much as the next person, but I try to contain it, even though this does not work very often...

Thanks,

I don't have anything rare to show off, (sob...) oh well, live and let live (and for the old school rockers- live and let die!) But that's all I have to say.

I have the following parts that never appeared in sets:

1 purple archers helmet
4 white handtrucks
2 Red 1x14 lattice pieces
2 turntable tops in green
2 " in black
2 " in tan
1 1x2 brick with vertical channel in Maersk
Lots Clear 1x3 slopes

I also have a few accidentally marbled bricks. The best one is:
1 white (with black marbling) 1x5x5 inverted arch

I try to find as many different and "rare" parts as possible and buy in larger quantities and sell excess stateside if I can. I acquired a small batch of 17L chains in TRANS-CLEAR! I only sold one on BL though, I've got the others for my own collection. I love the odd colored part. And, as someone else mentioned here about my "vagueness" of where I get them - I do get most everything that's odd colored from overseas and the sellers I've talked to at least one has said they've gotten them from Lego directly via some way but wouldn't offer how.

Right now I've got white visors in my store and some other neat stuff. I might still have some white hair. One of these days I have to compile the rare stuff of my own and take some pictures.

I also collect Modulex and promo bricks, but don't have a lot of the latter, yet.

Wow, trans-clear chains?
That sounds awesome, would you mind showing us a picture of one of them?

I have one of these. I'm not sure if it's that rare, but I've never seen one before.

Those clip plates were extremely common in LEGOLAND 80's sets. They are only occasionally used these days.
