Wanted to further introduce my character Vladek, and how he came to work for the evil Queen Galainir. This is Part One.

Image
Vladek, although dashing in his armor, the man was quite the coward in battle. The King thought no better punishment than to punish him.
Image
The King punished Vladek for his cowardry, chaining him to a wall and letting the commoners do what they wanted to do to him, mainly beating him and throwing food at poor Vladek. Vladek was punished from morning to night. At nightfall, Vladek was released.
Image
The first thing Vladek does is go to the bar, hoping to drink away his problems. Throughout his time in the bar, he thought only of a way to get revenge on his King. But he didn't know where to start. Until he met the Dark One...
Image
Vladek walked outside of the bar, the time being past midnight. He swaggered left and right after drinking much too much. He bumped into a man wearing all black, his face could not be seen.
"Hey! Watch it!!" screamed Vladek.
"You're upset. I can see you want revenge...I can see it glimmer in your eyes...your heart..." whispered the Dark One.
"Wh-What did you say?"
"You want revenge, don't you lad? I can help you..."
"You can help? How so?" said Vladek with curiosity in his eyes.
"More precisely, my Queen, Queen Galainir will help you. We will help you get your revenge...Though this comes with a price..."
Vladek looked at the Dark One, waiting to hear what he had to say.
The Dark One said, "Your arm along with your youth...I know it sounds pricey but you see, the Queen is not fully ready if you understand what I mean...By giving up the two, we will grant you immense power-magic to be more precise."
Vladek started to get the idea that he can beat the King with new powers. "I'll do it!" he said, a little too fast.
"However, I cannot grant the powers today. I need the payment on the other hand. I must revive Queen Galainir. You'll see me very soon, VERY soon." Before Vladek had a chance to reject, the Dark One took away Vladek's arm and youth.
Image
"Agghhh!!!" screamed Vladek. The process was done.
"How do I know I'll see you again?"
"Queen Galainir never goes back on her words..."
And with that, the Dark One vanished within the shadows.

To be continued...

Not sure if I'm a great storyteller. But I'm also wondering, does this count as one of my freebuilds? Thanks for reading! :)

LCC GCVI Awakening by animmortal, on Flickr

War seems to be on the horizon and the the gaze of Eldak has noticed an opportune time to re emerge. How long hes been down is a mystery but the runes imprisoning the necromancer to his tomb have eroded with the sands of time. Busting the gates to his mausoleum he begins to awaken his undying minions; the march of the dead has begun.

Thank you! And yes, I couldn't agree more. Too much possibilities and not too many restrictions! Just the way I like it!

That's why we've got the Outlaws! Fewer restrictions, use of magic, etc.! Much more fun than sticking to boring ol' rules about magic and whatnot.

Calling all LCC members! If you haven't already, then please bob over to the thread below to give your feedback on various elements of the LCC.

I have put together a survey with the Faction Leaders permission that will hopefully help them with future plans for the format and direction of the LCC in 2014.

Go to the thread below for more info, there are only ten questions so it shouldn't take long. Answers that have circular tick boxes require one answer only, answers that have square tick boxes you can give multiple answers.

So there has been some murmurs on the ole flickr that it might be time to update our outlaw banner. I vote we make it a local contest, I'm sure a lot more people will make the effort---and the fact that your work might be displayed in many outlaw signatures is quite a prize :eyebrows: What say you outlaws!?

Hmm, I like it. But I'm not much of a graphic artist, so I probably wouldn't enter. Others out there might be put off by the same reason, so I don't know....

An interesting Idea. If we have enough interest I'll see about getting it going after the GC :)

I'd certainly take a stab at it. Also, just an FYI, I have midterms and exams all next week. Don't be surprised if I don't show up. If you PM me with a question, I'll try my best to get back to ya as soon as possible.

So I was reading the forum this morning and they were discussing who crafted what the best. Well I found out that Garheim with all its dwarves have the finest smiths........Now can you Imagine a burly dwarf taking your inseam measurement?

Thought I'd post my Guild A1 here, since it's about Gavin's story before joining the Outlaws.
