Any news on the island to the South? I'm almost done with a huge freebuild that is could be a landmark depending on what you think of it so I'm curious where I can place this castle

Question on rules for using the standard in the LC. Would it be legal to have the standard only in the frame. An example of this would be the excellent work by Eklund. I am referring to if the only standard had been on the frame and if there had been no standard in back of the picture. Thank you.

Yep, that's fine. If you can't incorporate it directly into your scene, then that is an acceptable way to do it.

If you go over to the map making thread, I suggested we use it as a political hub for the continent, and it will be the place where the King's castle is located. It will be a neutral location where all 3 factions are welcome. Sorry if that ruins your plans, but it seemed the best place to put such a location. I'm sure you will be able to find another suitable location for your free build, and I'm looking forward to seeing it!

Oh it's no trouble at all thanks for the heads up! that is a good location for the kings castle! I'll just put my build on the southern coast! And I'll be finished soon! Just waiting on brick link

It is pretty much finalized other than a name for the lake and rivers, which I think we can just name after the capital. I will post it to the map thread this weekend.

Just out of curiosity, how many of you are working on / planning to submit an entry for the GC? Can you please PM me if you are planning on making an entry, just so I can have an idea of what our faction participation level is going to be? So far, I think we only have a couple of entries. I am planning on doing mine this weekend. We had family staying with us literally all month last month, so building time was scarce. Time to make up for lost time!

I know I said otherwise last week, but i'm hoping I can squeeze in a small/mid entry for the GC.

Regarding that, does anyone have any objections regarding me using their characters/avatars for crossplay or continuity? T'is a Garheim feast after all!

I just want to point out that this MOC doesn't fit the "must include the Garheim standard" entry requirement for the Garheim LC3.
I left a comment on the MOC forum thread to this effect as well.

Since we are all still learning the rules though, if nobody objects, I will accept this entry into the LC3. Please just keep a closer eye on the rules in the future.

If any member in good standing of Garheim objects to this ruling, please send me a PM. I will add this to the "entries" list in the mean time.

Alternately, Berengar, if you want to just amend your entry and submit a new picture, I'll allow that as well.
