It's about time. I myself don't have very many pirates, but I absolutely loved the sets and such. The site seems a bit empty at the moment, but I'm sure it'll become well populated.

I really don't like eurobricks who seems like they made the site, I don't have any Pirate sets either. It seems like it is a Pirate version of this site.

Is that a pun? Or, rather, is it a pun intended.

Anyway, the website as it stands just links back to Eurobricks - I'm afraid I don't quite see the point.

Classic-Pirates is as it sounds. The forum links back to Eurobricks, because from what i've heard, that's where the core pirate discussion is anyway.

There's no point creating a new forum and asking everyone to re-register.

I think there is. Some theme specific discussion has taken place at EB, but not much compared to the volumes of discussion found on CC, CS, Lugnet, etc. A great theme like Pirates deserves an independant forum, administration, and userbase than EB. Sure many people will be members of both, but you should have the option to only join CP if you want to.

I agree. Pirates is a marvelous theme that definately deserves its own site. Hopefully, it'll become so popular that it'll seperate from Eurobricks. (Not in anyway implying that Eurobricks is bad, simply that Pirates should be good enough to stand up on it's own flesh and wooden legs. )

Though it's a good effort, unless the forum separates from EB, I see no use for it. I wonder if there's a way to move the pirate forum database to a new one? Giving everybody their old nicknames would also remove any chance of confusion that might occur.

While I agree that Classic-Pirates (I can´t say CP since that´s just so wrong in Swedish...) should have its own forum the current forum isn´t too bad. I´ve been there for a while without seeing any other parts of EB.. it´s just the domain that links them together actually.

But www.classic-pirates.com/forum would of course look much better.

Greetings! I a Mister Phes the administrator of the Classic-Pirates.com and the Eurobricks Pirate Forum.

Its wonderful to see that Classic Castle has such a flourishing online community and the aim is that one day SYSTEM Pirates has the same.

Yes, if the Pirate Community at Eurobricks continues to expand the Pirate Forum will seperate, but at present we don't believe it would survive without the greater Eurobricks Community.

I've been in discussions with the Root Administrators as to how this may be achieved and it is speculated users could retain their account for both websites. As I'm not a Root Administrator I can't experiment for myself so I'm reliant on others to inform me of what is possible.

The Pirate Forum URL is forum.classic-pirates.com, but that only redirects to Eurobricks.

Thank you for your interest! Over the coming months we shall continue expanding the Classic-Pirates.com website and grow the Pirate community. We are very open to suggestions and any feedback is most appreciated!
