Operation Lethal Duck

Post by Hippotam »

307 April, 30th, The Kingdom of Bolanda. The crew of the Castle on The Lake is enjoying the lunch break. Spring sun gently illuminates the faces of the soldiers. Birds are singing. Nobody expects the sneaky attack...

Image Image Image

In the meantime, the evil Secret Service commando of the Kingom of Mordovia crossed the near border and started the castle siege. Using their camouflage skills, they managed to get to one of the towers!

Presenting my LCC entry: Operation Lethal Duck.
The pictures should told the story, so let me just say that this was my first creation in that scale (i almost run out of gray pieces), but it was lot of the fun buiding it! Hope it will be fun watching it too :-)

Lots of details here! I like the ducks, I will be borrowing that idea. But the castle I like best. It's small, yet is bursting with life! The walls are highly detailed, no brick seems out of place. You must have planned this out to a "T." Or you went back and rebuilt sections like I do... Nicely done.

Hehe, the ducks idea is funny. I like the guy lunging for the guard at the top of the tower. Awesome construction, too.
...and that's how Equestria was made!

Hillarious... I think James Bond did something similar in the opening of Goldfinger...

Shapely, yet imposing! The details of the architecture are beautiful, the 'ducks' are hilarious, the courtyard is nice (I've never liked dk bley and grey together till this). I have never seen BURPS and LURPS used so effectively without tons of other bricks to alter their look before. It's very clean and natural looking, like you didn't tyr to force them to fit, just worked them together.

I cas see this doing well in the contest!

If I hadn't just spent a long time reviewing Nelson's stuff, I'd do the same for you; but anyway, this is really great. The design reminds me of Itou, especially in the last pic, and the story is very well done. I love the leaping guy, and the men hiding under the ducks is such a great idea.

Most impressive. The detail in such a small castle is amazing. I like how you did the windows over the entrance.

Excellent. Great use of space & I really like the unique layout of the castle. It's very detailed yet still retains a definite TLG feel to it. That coupled with heaps of action & humour makes this a forerunner in the castle catagory imo. Really well done
