Set 7009 The Final Joust
I just bought this set at Toys R Us today (I spoiled myself, though it was $2 more than retail, won't do that again), and I just have to say that this is one terrific set.
Not only is the knight just about the most awesome LEGO castle fig ever created, but the undead knight fig (being a fig and not a skelly) is just awesome as well. I love both their designs on their euro armors, and the chrome visor.
The mace mold is a little silly, but the scythe is neat. The black skeleton horse is just creepy, but in a good way.
All in all I give this set a perfect score. I was going to buy about 5 of them, along with at least one of each of the other sets, but now I've decided I'll need a lot more than that.
My undead horde shall grow quickly, oh yes... knights of Ikros, tremble in fear...
Kudos, LEGO. You've really created a winner in my book.

Oooh, at TRU are they? I may have to start snagging some of these!

It really depends on location. I called my local TRU tonight. Of course they are just trying to move old stock. But I let them know that many people want to buy the new castle sets.Athos wrote:Oooh, at TRU are they? I may have to start snagging some of these!

This joust does have a great selection of figures, weapons, usefull elements, and a horse barding for a very reasonable price (well less reasonable at TRU).

No plumes.Gumby wrote:All the pictures I've seen online of this set, the knight has no plume in his helmet. And I think it looks kinda funny.
Question is, does this set come with the feather plume?
Thanks!
I'm thinking about buying some off BL though. What do you think would look better? Yellow or blue?

Already in the States? My LEGO contact told me no earlier than July, which gets me to wondering about Canada. Any ideas about when us Canucks will be getting these?

Brick and mortar TRU stores are currently stocking new sets.
The sets that came to my own Toys R Us store yesterday were:
5416 Duplo Small Box = $16.99
7009 The Final Joust = $10.99
7090 Crossbow Attack = $6.99
7091 Knights' Catapult Defense = $9.99
7692 MX-71 Recon Dropship = $39.99
7693 ETX Alien Strike = $19.99
7694 MT-31 Trike = $9.99
7695 MX-11 Astro Fighter = $6.99
7906 Fireboat = $30.99
7991 Recycle Truck = $16.99
7992 Container Stacker = $20.99
7994 LEGO City Harbor = $89.99
8106 Aero Booster = $29.99
8107 Fight for the Golden Tower = $49.99
That's all they had gotten, and I only picked up all the Castle sets, though I wanted to get the 8107... but I can wait. My Immediate Self Gratification Budget only has room for the Castle and Harry Potter sets.

I wonder, I bought this set yesterday at a local toystore for Euro 7,95. Wich is kind of weird... If it's $ 11.95 in the States, it should be Euro 11.95 in Europe, wich is the case most of the time.
I was going to say it's an amazing set for 7,95, you get a fully armed knight on a horse with a barding. Plus bonus parts
