While browsing through this forum, I came across this post back in March from Bruce N H about a really cool round castle design:

viewtopic.php?t=9821

I thought the round tower, especially the staircase, was pretty neat.

A couple of people also posted how they would like to see the finished product. On a hunch, I checked his Brickshelf to see if he had any new pictures of a finished design.

Sure enough, there are updated pictures of a section of the rounded wall and tower.

It's amazing! Check it out!

I really like how he made the round tower out of the 1x1 cyndrical bricks and 1x2 bricks. Wish i had that many cyndrical bricks to make a tower too.

Yea I agree with Lord the round tower is very well done seeing how LEGO is mostly rectangular, it is hard to produce something of spherical shape.

This is getting better and better. I especially like the tower floor, it's really a nice idea. The floors and rounded wall in the other parts are also nice; if ever I make enough money to get lot of pieces and build a giant castle, I'll try to use some of these techniques (modified a bit, of course).

This is an excellent MOC. The round tower idea is very cool; I think that I finally understand how to build one (not that I have the talent or bricks to do so.) Thanks for finding this, Elven Warrior.

I really like the tower. It seems like the stairs are a parts hog which could be somehow refined. Maybe just have the staircase run on the inside of the wall without coming all the way to the middle of the tower? Just a thought.

I'm not sure why you have the walls angle in towards the tower either. Couldn't you just make them a "normal" right angle with the round tower in the middle?

The smaller staircase is very sweet.
