My custom Elf leader, by Quickblade

Post by Quickblade22 »

I recently purchased some parts from Brick Forge. I was just toying around with some of the parts when I made this guy. I hadn't bought the parts specifically for him, but I think he looks cool. Plus, with the speculation that TLG will make elves in the near future, could this be a possibility of the angle they will go with them? I used the Brick Forge hero sword and the vambraces on this guy. He reminds me of Elrond....a little.

A bit more warlike than any elves I'll ever make, but still very nice, very nice indeed. Great color matching.

I don't like his head, with giant eyes and such, but its fine other then that.
wrap me in a bolt of lightning,
send me on my way still smiling,
maybe that's the way i should go:
straight into the mouth of the unknown....

I agree. It makes him look a little too...mean for an elf. Other than his head, I think you did a very nice job!

In Christ,
I also agree that the head seems slightly inappropriate. Perhaps one of those red ninja heads would work better? Othere than the head the figure is great.

The figure as a whole is great, but I agree with everyone else that the head doesn't flow well with the rest of the figure. Other than that, though, good work!

I understand the thought behind the head (elves were generally distinguished from humans by their eyes) but I still don't really fancy that head.. in LEGO form I'd rather opt for using normal heads (and the cheater that I am would possibly add some little glints in photoshop instead).

Pretty neat! What color vambraces are those, does BF have gold?

Hey, thanks for the replies. The vambraces are bronze. I was ok with everyone's opinions.....but someone else took it a little hard. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/quick ... ticism.jpg
I managed to stop him before he did any more harm, especially since he hates fleshies. No worries though...I sent him packing to where he came from. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/quick ... re_304.jpg

*Note- none of the sig figs shown were harmed in this tantrum

Very nice custom.
It also reminds me of Elrond because of the face decal.
I think that is because of the eyes and hair.
I do like the face a lot. It works perfect for this fig.
