Well this is my first vig, so I am expecting some good, and some bad comments. Thats okay though I can take it. In this vig a Mage is studying an ancient scroll. oh and the staff is a broken spear (which broke on its own).

Like I said in the title, tell me what you think.
Now for the Comments and Critisizme.
(Oh and P.S. Could someone Pm me how to make the links into just words. Thanks in advance.)
Edit - changed over-large image to a thumbnail. Please don't post images over 400 pixels in the forum.

Off to a great start on vigs. Although, one thing you could work on is detailing it and filling it. Since vigs tend to be smaller than most creations, they tend to be very detailed, to make up for the small-ness.
Off to a great start!

Its good, much better than my first vig. The sparseness of the MOC makes you focus on the figure. That's excellent. The only thing I would have changed is the base size. So much of it is unused, I would made it smaller. But that's a minor critique.

Thank you both of you. I will try to add more detail in future vigs. I made the base big because I didn't know if I would need that room or not, I guess I didn't though. Again thanks.

Great first attempt! I agree with Josh, a smaller base would really improve this alot, also try to make it as studdless as possible. Studs tend to spoil such a small scene a little. Maybe try adding tiles or using SNOT techniques to limit the bumps. Well done

It looks really nice! One suggestion that I can think of would be to add a bit more light to the picture, it is a bit difficult to see where everything was. I do, however, like your coat rack. This mage paid attention when his mother taught him to take off his cloak in the house.

Sorry I took this pic when everyone else was asleep, so I couldn't have to much light so I worked withwhat I had.

Sorry
As well you should be!

I suppose if you have a good excuse, I'll let you off the hook this time. It is for reasons like that that I make my wife take all the pictures. I am horrible at it.. they turn out blurry, grainy, too dark, too bright, or some combination of them both. She's tried to teach me, but I lack the talent and interest.

Its a little sparse. Need to pack some more stuff in there. Maybe a back wall (those always seem to help mine) or a bookcase? Using tiles on everything also makes it look cleaner and neater.
