Oh hi there everybody, it's me Kevoh, the wandering admin.

This is one of my more castle-ish creations in a while.

Floating rocks are a curious mix of steampunk, castle, and fantasy. They float because they do.

Welcome back, I cannot recall the last time I saw you post one here, probably because I never have. Anyway I like this Moc very much. Its very creative, I like your use of the rubber bands on the water tank, and the architecture for the buildings is very detailed and well done. Not very "castlely" but it looks excellent.

As in wandering off the face of the earth? I don't think I can ever recall a post made by you, granted I don't post too often anymore either.

Your newest moc more than makes up for your absence though.
I absolutely love it!
The size, colors, shapes, and construction of the buildings upon the floating rock are immaculate. I think this is by far the best floating rock type moc I've seen to date. The wooden board walk is excellent. How it stays together and doesn't fall apart is a mystery to me.

I'd be weary of sleeping in that hammock:

A slight shift in body weight and that guy could plummet to his death!

Excellent work! Hope to see more castle-ish stuff from you in the future.

Great MOC!

Not very castle-ish though. The homes seem more Victorian to me. Still, it is a great piece of building there (particularly the walkway around the village. I would love to see some docks and vehicles in the scene to liven it up though. Right now your village is looking a bit lonely. It definitely is an excellent piece of building though. Glad to see you post it!

Agreed. My favorite part is the boardwalk; I spent a good five minutes, at least, just staring at that one part. It wouldn't let me go. :D

Man this is awesome! Great creation. I agree it's not very castle-ish though, but the fantasy element makes up for that if you ask me.
I think the lookout tower is great, it takes a few pictures to get used to but now I think it just wouldn't look as good without it.

Long time no see Brick. Where did you wander off?! It took a while for you to get back.
I see you are still a fine builder. The building is extremely nice.
Once again, show up more often.

Hi Kevoh, its me Cpt. Decius. This is a very good creation, although it seems to be a bit more contemporary than castle. With all of the fancy window liners and doors, with no battlements, or wooden structures. I imagine that it would be 1500-1700s already.

Very nice, Kevin. This was my favorite Steampunk MOC at BrickCon. I really love the undulating walkway. Truly an awesome creation.

Build On,
Josh

PS. You really are the Wandering Admin. I was going to try and get together with you at the Con, but everytime I had a moment you'd wandered off!

Wow. I always love a good floating rock, and this is an amazing floating rock. I love the buildings, and the boardwalk is awesome.

This is sweet! I've never really understood the phenomenon of floating rock MOCs, but I've learned to accept them for what they are (impossible, but nifty.) This one reminds me of Cafe Corner a lot. Only floating on a rock.

Oh! Well, that just explains everything now doesn't it?!?!

Ok. This is a very good MOC. I haven't seen many creations of yours, but this one is very nice. There are tons of little details that are great. Your wandering doesn't seem to affect your building all that much, thankfuly!

The walkway is very nice looking, and the building are great and ful of detail. Very good! There are too many other details to point out, so I won't, but this is very good indeed.

Jaw-droppingly beautiful. Really. I saw the WIP back in May(?), and really liked it, then I remembered it about a month ago, found your photostream, but you hadn't finished it, then forgot about it 'til I saw it in BrickCon pics.

It reminds me of the very nice parts of San Francisco, especially the rooftop garden. There's some really great parts usage as well. The houses are just wonderfully detailed, and the rock sculpting is great.

I think I could live there. ;)
