The Black one is nice, but I prefer the:
Trans-Clear Ghost!

Wow. I always thought the red ghost would look a little out of place in a scene, but the black & transparent ones look excellent. Too bad they're so pricey...

Well, the red ghost is always a classic, but the trans-clear and black ones are nice too. The best is to put a trans-red head in your red ghost...the white of the neck-stump actually gives it the appearance of eyes.

As for the trans-clear ghost, I love that trans-green skull head in it. Looks REALLY creepy! I need to take a picture of that, come to think of it. The black ghost is great, but it doesn't have the novelty of the red or trans-clear. It's been around for a bit IIRC, but Sasha of Magicbricks is an absolute pleasure to work with. She always has fantastic items, and the best part is she has like, insanely fast shipping. I can't recommend her highly enough!

I've ordered from MagicBricks before too, and the shipping is insanely fast for trans-Atlantic/cross-continent shipping.
As for the parts, yeah expensive, but if you can afford them...so cool!

I'm trying to picture myself spending 100+ dollars for a small piece of plastic... it's not working too well...
I do think that that trans piece could look really cool with the trans-green skull minifig head mentioned - that indeed would make for a creepy ghost.
I rarely use ghosts, so I think the glow in the dark LEGO ones are fine for me at the moment.

I doubt I could fork out that kind of dough considering what that could buy even from S@H or Bricklink.
Its almost that you would want to lock it up in a vault like a rare painting. It would be interesting to know how this seller gets the hook-up on such rare pieces.

$130? Yeesh.
Krylon's
Fusion line has a black that matches LEGO's near-perfectly and is very hard to tell that it's "just" spraypaint after you're done. And it's only about $3.

Put a couple coats on a regular ghost and the result would be just fine by me.

*faints* $130??? I'd rather do what Morgan19 showed. A black ghost would be a great addition to my small collection.

The black ghost looks awesome, and I would agree that it is VERY pricey, so it is very unlikely that I will be the owner of a black ghost. Having said that, I do buy my “Special Parts” from this particular Bricklink store and I am very happy with the service.
The trans-clear ghost is quite special indeed. I would be willing to pay top dollar for this item. I think it would look great with a skeleton body (and skull head) inside it – very spooky. Now the question is; Where do I get one?

From that very store

That's where I got mine at least, sending her a PM might help you if she has any in stock that aren't listed. She's very friendly, and while she may not (or may) have any in right now, asking never hurts, right?

Does anyone know of a Brickshelf seller who has rare pieces but is stationed in the U.S.?
