AFOL= Adult Fan Of Lego

I spent a ton of time sorting, but now that everything is sorted, I have no need to do it. Most of my pieces have been used in my SHIP or my giant castle.

When you know what AFOL means

...when you visit three Toys 'R Uses in the metropolitan area just to see what the selection difference is.

...when the girl at the doors recognises that you're probably not shopping for kids.

...when your monthly budget for LEGO is more than for eating.

...you nearly faint due to lack of food, because you spent the last 12 hours with your Lego.

...you waste (to some anyway) your Sunday taking pictures of your Lego to show to people hundreds of miles away.

...you remember what year something took place by thinking of the Lego you bought at the time.

When you get in the habit of removing sections of your body and sticking another in its place

When you know you will be collecting for the rest of your life so that you can take it easy not buy everything at once and be disciplined pass on bad years and wait until things are on sale when buying multiple copies.

edit - and being aware of the space and time your collection is taking up.

This would be for a SAFOL, or Single AFOL. For those of us who have spouses, it would be the asking of permission to by a set or BL purchase. "Honey, we can buy back to school supplies later..."

well with me and my wife whenever we have spare money we split it and can get whatever we want problem is i buy LEGO and when i sell it after we pay bills and get food we split whats left,for some reason i feel like i'm getting the short end here

Your house has more storage for LEGO bricks then anything else- like your cloths!

You use your vacation days to travel all over for LEGO events!

You spend almost as much money on 'cool storage boxes' as you do for your LEGO!

You build while your dreaming.....
