The Tower of Brothers (CCC entry, cat.- Misc.)

Good morning!
I would like to present my entry to the contest to the illustrious audience of the "Classic Castle" forum. (Category - Miscellaneous.)
This is 'The Tower of Brothers': (The story follows.)
Long time ago, there lived two brothers. A younger, and an older one. They were loving each other very much, and were keeping close to each other at all times. Probably because the war took their parents and all relatives away... They both were playing, learning the art of sword, and the art of living alone, that means - together.
They were wandering through the world, and taking part in many wars, shoulder to shoulder.
Crying, taking care about each other after defeat, and together celebrating victory.
Many years had passed, and after long time spent on fighting and roaming, they decided to settle down.
Found a rocky hill, and on it they built a tower. This became their new, (and first) Home.
They were living quiet and peaceful lives there, and had many friends around.
The happiness lasted until a day... Until one day, when they started to quarrel about something. Something none of them can remember. They had love in their hearts, so they came to an agreement, of course. But after a couple of days came another conflict. And then again... And - day by day - more and more anger was filling their souls. Friends stopped visiting them, but they even didnt notice.
Something broke out. Anger and unwillingness took place of love and brotherhood. Finally they felt nothing but hatred. And - living in the rooms on the two opposite sides of the same, short bridge at the very top of the tower - they started the open, merciless war against each other.
From the ground up to the roof the stone walls of their asylum were drinking the poison of the fratricidal fight...
Why this happened? Was it so because the eternal wanderers settled down to live the new, unknown life?
Were they fighting to kill each other, or just to do what they were used to? Or because since their boyhood they've experienced pain and death of their closest family and friends? To release the stacked up emotions and aggression?
They were hurting themselves the most severely they could. Killing with the spear, sword, word and even the eye.
Did one of them finally kill the other? And if so - did he bury him, or just fling his body down to the rocks, for the ravens and rats?
Or maybe they stopped fighting, threw the weapons away, and went away to the opposite directions and never met again?
Nobody knows the end...
