Ok, lets try the lizards

Post by paleotaur »

And for my next trick, we have the lizardmen! [fanfare and cheers]

Now with actual Deeplink!

I've always liked lizardmen, and I was inspired by the Killer Croc figure. Not having any money however, I figured that some cheap green torsos and heads, along with a lot of brasso, phot decal work would get the same effect but cheaper.

Then I realized I could add to the whole thing, giving my lizardmen armor and acoutrements.

They'll soon be starring in their own MOC, with some unlucky crownies.

Anyway, let me know what you think,

Thanks,
Matt

I'd consider myself a purist - but I do see the merits of these.

Very nicely made.

Very cool. I am not a lizard fan person but could see some employed in various places.... good idea.

yeah, i think using killer croc as lizardman is a good starting point. you can also add a tail by using the neck bracket on the hips and inserting the viking horn to form a tail.

too bad the horn doesn't come in green. you can paint such a cheap part green though to achieve that effect.

i just bought a couple of KC heads from fleebay and was going to put together an army of lizardmen too before you did. :D

I've always been a fan of lizardmen. Great job. Are those official KC heads, or did you do them yourself? I like the torso details you added. Keep'em coming.

Lizard-men are a favourite of mine. You did a great job, they're looking very menacing.

Would you please post the stickers?

Thanks for all the replies you guys. I really appreciate it.

Quickblade: No, those are all custom heads as well

Nate: The heir is right, I tried the tail idea you posted but the bracket doesn't fit down onto a hip stud properly

Moroder: Here ya go :) note that the head decal background is lighter because you really can't get "Green" heads, just bright green heads.

These are very nice, very well done examples of lizard men from D&D. Good job. Too bad LEGO can't make anything like this.

Oooh! I really like these. The head is just a straight sticker isn't it? Even though it is a different color than the head it works for me because of the change in scales.

You'd be wrong there. Ever seen Killer Croc?

Good job, paleotaur. I like 'em. I'm more of a purist than most, but they're still really cool.
