Trench Diorama

Post by corran101 »

I know this isn't really a Classic-Castler's cup of soup, but it wasn't really mine either.
Anyway, this is for the Contest at the LEGO Military Flickr group.
This is meant to take place in WWII, but I probably made some glaring historical mistake.

Very nice. I really like the explosion going on in the corner. The barbed wire is also very well done. I guess my only critique is that it looks more like a WWI diorama, with the trench, but they did use trenches in WWII so I think you're good.

Yes, this should be WW1. The fellows in the trench should be in some kind of firing position to repel the hordes.

Apart from those quibbles, everything about this scene is excellent. Colour choices evoke trench warfare, and the barbed wire is inspired.

Well done.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. While WWI was known for it's trench warfare, WWII had a small amount also.
