Seeing as he is sending off one of his precious figs out into the world, on a trip he is not likely to ever come back from, he gets to decide which one he parts with. If someone really does not like this, then they either should send one of their figs, or not put their name on the list.

Though I will admit Athos' choice of a Johnny Thunder like character is suspicious. :) And if I were to choose a person, I would not make him peach.
I agree that whoever donates the fig (which will likely be lost, damaged, or stolen) should choose the figure. However, castle fans on a castle website would be more inclined to mail around and take pictures with a castle figure than Johnny Thunder.

True, but surely our esteemed and learned lawyer will be aware of such things. If he thinks he can get a good castle crowd without a castle fig, then who be we to speak against him?

I will put my money where my mouth is. I will mail out the blue knight from 383 Knight's Tournament to start a new mission for a new knight.

I will start a separate thread for this. If anyone is willing to mail a JT around the world, I wish them success.

Well I'm not really interested in forcing my ideas on everyone else. I'm not set on Indy. I just thought he would be convenient since I have a surplus of him. I also thought who better for a globe trotting figure than Indy?

I had envisioned making this a more than C-C project, but Sava makes a good point and the logistics of trying to coordinate over several forums seems like too much work.

So, since this will be a C-C endeavor, I think a Castle figure makes better sense. I see architect has stepped up to provide a figure, though I hate to think of damaging such an old figure.
Sir Nelson wrote: I don't know if this has been mentioned already but is this a shameless plug for your JT blog perhaps?
Not a shameless plug, as I envision this to be a different project and entirely separate. Though I would probably make it similar, in style and format, to my blog. I'd initially thought of using JT, but didn't want to infringe on my blog. Though now that you mention it: Shameless plug on!

And since it is probably going to be a C-C project, maybe we could host the pictures here?

Architect, you can put me down as first on the list.

Indeed... and, as it should have been in your initial suggestion.

It is so cool to see a a much better C-C mascot being offered on a journey here. Many thanks to Ben and to C-C for reviving this effort!!! :D

Well, as I'd said in both my initial post and subsequent reply, I'd initially planned to make this a effort that went beyond just C-C. :P

In that case you should just give one of them to me. I want one and don't one any (Yet).

J/K!

Seriously, I'm glad that architect decided to send Harold around. much more fitting than Indy.

But still...

Hey,

Just a note, Manel is a traveling fig who is being shared among different European AFOLs. He's been with Tania and Luis Baixinho, so perhaps they can tell more.

Here are some examples of Henry's visits to CC members such as Jojo, Formendacil, Tony and myself.

Back when I first got into the on-line community there was a pair of figs traveling from place to place. I've done some digging back in old Lugnet posts etc but can't find details. Anyone remember the names of these figs?
---
Success! It appears there were two pairs: Colin and Wanda:

and also Jill and Gary (perhaps also called Bill and Mary):

Wow, it appears that Jill and Gary date back to the very early days of the on-line community and helped shape things like the development of LDraw:

How about when Henry or Harold is sent around he meets everyones Sigfig and the Sigfig takes him on a tour of the,Landmarks, mocs or where ever, and as a joke,if you have the minifigures you could put Clancy,Manel,Indy or even Waldo.
