New use for the giant troll?

Post by MrTS »

Hello again my fellow lego castle builders. Its been a while since i posted around here.i've been very busy. I hadn't build anything in quite some time. Now that i had a minute to build i made this tiny moc. Its so small its almost a vignette haha.

This moc shows a small part of an inn: "The Trolls Head". This Inn is well known through the city because of the trolls head trophy they have hanging on their wall. The owner of the place is always bragging about it, saying he has slain the monster himself...but most people think he just bought it somewhere. :roll:

This moc was an attempt to make a trolls head trophy hanging on a wall. I found this to be very challenging and it took me quite some time to make it as it is now. Its still not perfect, but for now i'm satisfied with the result. I could still make the wall build a bit cleaner so it blends better with the rest of the walls...but i just didnt feel like doing that any more. :P

Anyway i thought it was a cool idea and i'm pleased with the results.

Hey Tom,

I don't know if you're on Flickr or not, but there is a LEGO Troll group there you might want to add this to.

Ah thx for the comments! Its appreciated. :)

@Danielas:
The shields are stuck between this piece http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=bb10 and the wall on one side and on the other the trolls head keeps them in place.
The shields used here a bley while the rest of the wall is old light grey so they stick out a bit more color wise then i wanted, but i already made all the photos when i noticed this.... :roll:

@Bruce:
Hey, i'm not a member of Flickr. I'm not sure how things work on that site. If i register on flickr can i then add this moc to that list you posted? Or do i also have to become a member of a group?....btw cool trolls mocs :)

Neat idea. The real secret is that the troll is still alive. The inn keeper retains him as a bouncer.... not only does he have the benefit of strength and size but surprise.

Great stuff Tom :) Very inventive part usage. As for Flickr I think you have to be a member of the group before you can add a picture unless it is invited (I could be wrong), but it's a great site ;)
