CC Chat is booming, and I love it... So much better than the usual, sitting in the empty chat room all alone.
There's always an interesting topic.. Though whatever we're talking about, everybody always seems to revert to talking about food after a while.
Oh, and yes, you must be prepared for the brick fight of your life if Dano is in there.

Yeah I knew.
Terrible place, the people are violent, the food is awful and the people in charge...let's just say they're borderline-evil if not completely deranged.
I'd take another route home if you want to get there in one piece.

Re: Did you know?
I figured I'd revive an old thread instead of making a new thread.
Since the server migration, we are having issues with our chat. Most importantly...you HAVE to be in "safe" mode for it to work.
Biggest issue is our chat, she is getting pretty darn old as far as software is concerned. Basically, it doesn't support the current browsers. We are looking at replacing her...which a lovely new one, but it isn't totally ready yet.
Also, some people are having to talk for 3 lines for chat to start showing text...or they see a "big white box" usually just typing 3 lines clears that up. We can see you...you can't see us.
So if you do come in to chat..please remember:
You HAVE to be in "safe" mode for it to work.
If you still can't get things working...pm one of the people you see in there..and try a few things to see if it is working.

Re: Did you know?
Chat has been changed! We have removed the old uncooperative software and added new fancy software...that has SOUND! You just have to make sure you are logged into the forum to come on in. And it supports current browsers...not just old IE.

Wow, sweet! Maybe I'll get back to this then (I only wish there was an app to cancel the time differences between Europe and America ).

Re: Did you know?
A huge thank you to Dave for installing the new software and also to Blue for keeping this issue in the forefront. I'm looking forward to trying it out when there are people around.
How does the audio work, btw?

You type...or someone types...a sound happens. It also has a time out feature so if you are inactive...you will probably get booted.

Re: Did you know?
I'll have to check in to chat a bit. I've been aware that classic-castle had a chat room, but never really utilized it.

Re: Did you know?
Chat is a super good way to talk to people without having to give your email or other private stuff out. Plus here at CC...we have a ton of really cool people who used to hang out there and became awesome friends.
The plus of chat is...if it is working, it is the best way to get to a member of staff quick. But with this new chat..it should always be working. I'm usually there in the evenings. I am more than willing to help out anyone who needs help. Plus...like I said it is a super cool way to meet people. If all else fails..we can talk about food (the international talk for we don't know what else to discuss).
