I am not sure I really want to build this set. A big dumb wheel.....neat....What do you guess think of yours?

Why doesn't anyone like the Skaven Doomwheel? I built it because I like to have the whole LEGO castle collection. Except I got rid of the commanders skeleton knight armor...It was driving me insane the way it didn't fit correctly with the troll helmet.

I just think th econcept doesn't fit in my Legoverse....that's all

The topics you've been starting raise one question in me, my friend. This isn't meant to be rude or anything, but: Do you even like building Lego?
Or do you just want to post about it? All your threads you started today are about whether or not to build... And the answer from anyone here will always be the same: Just build! Build the Troll battle wheel and then part it out, build all of your ideas and find out which is best instead of asking us.
We can't decide if you like the build. You'll have to find that out yourself by just doing it. At least give it a try.

I like the wheel - it's kind of cool and creative.

Not to mention, if you wanted to, you could use it for something else... heck, you could use it for the beginning of a water-wheel or something.

Well I have two Kings Castle Sieges, one is built, the other I bought for parts. I am working on the Orc ship now. So yes I like to build. I was just trying to get some friend in the community, that is all.

I have like 6 set I haven't built yet. I have a ful time job and just don't have the time, like I want.

The Wheel is just kinda lame, I know Orcses are dumb, and I can't see them doing a Jack Sparrow vs Will Turner type of gimmick.

I considered buying this set when they released it early at Toys R Us, but then decided against it because I hjave no clue what the Megablocks to do with it. Now, I don't really care for vehicles and such, all that really matters to me now is actual castles, forts, and other buildings. So, I, personally, would avoid this thing altogether. Go with the Tower Raid thing, or whatever it's called, instead.

I love the idea behind the set. Also love the useful click-hinges for sloped roofs and the dark brown planking of this set. If TRU gets this set on the BOGO, I may have to get a few more this X-Mas for troops, parts and more parts. The main model is fun if you imagine how hilarious it would be in an actual battlefield situation, and what stones it would take to be the troll who gets on top of it.

This is the only <$100 set of the 2008 Castle Lego that I don't own. I will buy it soon and put it with my 2 dwarf mines. I'm combining them to make a Moria-sized dwarf-mine. I'm sure the that this orc vehicle was built with dwarvish parts, such as the wheel, that were looted from a dwarf-mine that the orcs had raided.

I'll buy 2 and combine them with a Large Troll in the middle pushing (or pulling) the contraption.

Moria was a rather large place. The one city(columned hall) area referred to as the "Dwarrow-delf" in LOTR would be the size of an average living room of space needed if done in figure scale. With only two dwarven mine sets I'm thinking that you ment something else.

I thought very much the same about the Dwarves Mine Defender, that it would be lame-o and really only worth buying for the figs/parts, but when I got it together, I rather liked it.

The "Just build!" advice is good advice. If for no other reason than you get a chance to walk through someone else's creation step by step and see how they conceptually put the parts together. It's like becoming a better chef by making someone else's recipie for practice.

It was decent but i would have gotten a diffrent set but i have owned it for a while and i guess its alright. It does come with brown bricks to build some thing other than the wheel if you want. but the crownies wall is pretty cool.

If I owned it I'd take it apart. I take pretty much all my sets apart, and this one certainly has some nice pieces.

I bought it and spent a bunch of time looking at it wondering, "What the heck do I do with it?" I finally dismantled it and am using the wheels in making a large water powered mill, about all it is good for in my opinion.

I like it very much. It doesn't really suit the whole medieval genre, but it is still fun to play with. Really, I would build it, see if I liked it, and if I didn't, just part it out.
