These are really awesome! the euro armor sticker is great. I spent 10 minutes on bricklink trying to find it. The pillars they stand on are very beautiful, they remind me of a war memorial. The bare arms on the queen just doesn't seem very regal though, IMO.

Ooh, nice! I really like the king with all the gold paraphernalia. The white bases would look good on a board with light gray and white checkers.

Ooh, fancy this, fancy that, fancy you! I especially love the height and size of the bases/pillars/platforms for the pieces. Gives quite an imposing feel to ze pieces as if when you set them down on the chessboard they will go, "KABOOM!" thus shaking fear into the boots of any attacking black pawns.

Well, I'm just gunna pretty much echo everybody else here...
As Rocko said, the dark red/gold combo is very nice. I also like that the king has his sword by his side, instead of holding it. It really emphasizes the more peaceful nature of chess.
Great job, and keep building!
