There has been a 9-page topic about this, recently locked:

So yes, it's confirmed. We can't wait.

Can anyone confirm if it is going to be released in the US? I think there was some doubt if it would come out here...?

If it isn't released in the U.S, can I still buy it from Amazon.de? Do they ship to U.S.? And also, it might have a later release date here and I want to get my hands on it asap... ooh, but then again,. I want to do it right have a proper Lego countdown to a Lego-ey Christmas so maybe I should just wait anyway... ooh, but then, I wonder much it is? $15 they usually are. Ooooh, I'm so excited!!

Chances are, no.

I've tried to order from other continental Amazon sites a number of times to no success- I always get redirected to the .co.uk site.

Where was it rumoured or mentioned that this wasn't going to be available in the US though? I hadn't heard that?

What happens in Classic-Castle chat stays in Classic-Castle chat ;)

I only heard it as a concern from a fellow TexLUG member who frequents totally different forums than I, so I don't know the exact source of the rumor.

And even at that - it is only a rumor, no facts one way or another have come out AFAIK.

not in the us

Postby VAMPROE » Tue Sep 02, 2008 8:43 pm

I talked to US lego today and it was confirmed by 2 differnet people that this set will NOT be in the US, and only sold in the UK and Europe.

We get yet another cheesy city advent calander with a snowman figure......big bloody deal : (

That's just dumb. :x Bear in mind that if you talked to customer service or retail people, they may not be "in the know."

I'm off to confirm this directly with people at LEGO who *will* know. Hopefully, their answer will be more to our liking.

EDIT: Question posed to TLG. I'll keep everyone here posted.

Thanks Dunechaser. I have a hard time understanding why they’d sell the town Advent calendar in the US but not the castle one. Of course All I have to do is look no further than the good wizard and I am confused.

I'd also certainly avoid taking the Lego call centre reps as end of the line news. One actually told me they were usually not the first to know anything interesting.

First the Good Wizard and now the Advent Calendar? Does LEGO think that people in the USA don't like or deserve sets with spellcasters? Thanks, Dunechaser for hopefully getting to the bottom of this.

LEGO is apparently being idiotic, because I've just confirmed that the Castle Advent Calendar will indeed not be available in the United States. :x

Time to start a revolt, Castle fans!
