Working on first landscaping; need advice

Post by sir lockt »

Dear CC community

Since I have moved to my new place I unpacked all my lego stuff and started to construct some of my Forestmen sets (the tree and the rock-shelter-cave set). Now I would like to embed them in some nice landscaping made by myself.

After reading through all the tutorials on this site (thank you for that!) I know what I want and this incluides a small river.

Now I have made a little shopping list on the parts I need and a list of those parts I already posses, but I am missing a source of tan bricks to make a "sandy shore" I really would like to have.

What is your primary source of tan-bricks?

Thank you for your help.
Regards

I actually got most of mine from the LEGO Shop at Home Pick-a-Brick store. http://us.factory.lego.com/pab/?warning=false

Another great option is of course, Bricklink. http://www.bricklink.com/ It can be a bit overwhelming and difficult to navigate at first, but once you get the hang of it, its very cool.

Have fun!

Also, if you can actually make it to a Lego store, they sometimes have huge quantities of the tiny bricks and you can get a big bucket for like $14.

The Harry Potter sets can be had relatively cheaply as well, and they have quite a bit of useful non-war castle stuff.

The Town House Model has some useful tan and roof pieces. http://creator.lego.com/en-us/Products/ ... /4954.aspx

Wait...CC has landscaping tutorials? Why have I never seen them?
