Watch this space - MisaQa advent calendar

Post by Bruce N H »

Hey all,

Okay, we won't know for a week whether these will be castle-relevant, but MisaQa has hinted that her 2008 Advent Calendar will be "about fantasy", and she has a silhouette of a unicorn.

For those who don't know her work, for the past three years MisaQa has produced advent calendars, showcasing a new MOC in a chosen theme each day of December up to Christmas. In 2005 it was birds, in 2006 miniland scale dolls and in 2007 microscale town. Her calendars have become one of my favorite LEGO traditions, and I'm really hoping that "about fantasy" will be up our alley.

Yay! My suspicions proved true. She's posted her first two entries, the wyvern:

I won't bump this thread up with every new MOC, but be sure to check her gallery each day. As past years have shown, this is a real highlight to the year.

I find it pretty amazing how some people including MisaQa can create these incredible moc's using various pieces. Looking through her brickshelf I came across her wallace and grommet and thought she did those two fantastically. I will definitely watch for more of her work.
