TRU Buy 2, Get 1 question
TRU Buy 2, Get 1 question
Anyone know how often they run this type of sale or if one is coming up soon. I have some gift cards that are burning a hole in my pocket.

At this time of year, no chance. They did run at least three LEGO specific sales, one of which was a Buy One, Get One 50% off (really 25% off when you buy two) all before Christmas. Unless there is a Spring/Easter sale coming up then I wouldn't hold my breath until November.

Nifty, so you buy two items, but only get one question!
Between plotting to kill you all and chasing balls of yarn, I also build MOCs

They did one last year sometime in early spring, can't remember if it was early March or April. Hopefully they do it again this year, I was planning on waiting to pick up some of the bigger pirates sets then when the sale makes it worth paying the higher prices at TRU.

Anybody hear anything yet if they are still planning on doing this again in a couple weeks?
Reason I ask is I'm going to Iowa next week and stopping by the Lego store in Schaumberg, IL. I'd prefer to wait and get the buy 2 get 1 free sale at TRU, I've been saving up and I'm looking to get Brickbeard's Bounty and the Soldier's Fort. The tricky part is TRU has jacked the prices up so you end up paying $10 more to get the two sets, but potentially can get a $55 set for free. Or my options are go to the Lego store and get both sets, fill up the rest of my punch-card, save $10 over TRU in the base price, and get a $20 gift card. Overall I'd "save" ~$25 at TRU by means of getting a free set, but I'm gambling on the chance that they are still planning on having the sale.
The other problem is there aren't any ~$50 sets out that I really want. Any suggestions/recommendations?

I don't know if TRU will hold the sale, but it usually occurs during the 3rd full week of March.

Re:
Is it the 3rd full week of March yet? I've got my fingers crossed for this Sunday's flyer. I want to see what I can get on sale before I place a S@H order. But, I'm really wanting to place that order...Peppermint Pig wrote:I don't know if TRU will hold the sale, but it usually occurs during the 3rd full week of March.
