If that skull/squidy helmet makes it into production, I'll be buying those sets for that alone.

Perfect for the skeleton factions "elite" knights. :)

Or any other baddies I want to create.

I dig it. The cuddlefish baddie looks great, and I like the "drag racers in space" vibe. The ships have an aggressive, souped-up Spinner look to them, and if I didn't know these were official TLG, I would have guessed they were AFOL MOCs just for how sleek and powered they look.

While the past few Space lines haven't interested me that much, this one might change that trend!

EDIT: Musing about it, does anyone else wonder if the tentacle-faced baddie is a subtle nod to Black Fantasy? Little known fact: when not striking madness in all those who gaze upon them, the Old Ones love to build. Their preferred theme: Scala!

I absolutely love the cars (spaceships?)! The black one has such a badass look to it, and so does the police ship. This is really awesome stuff, the fig, the models, like badger said: Proper AFOL MOC quality style.
Between plotting to kill you all and chasing balls of yarn, I also build MOCs

Hitch your space trailer behind the space car! XD

Bladerunner/Spaceballs-esque I suppose.

Maybe the cars will dock inside of space ships? :D

Okay, here's my opinion..i really love lego, but this looks like the worst piece of Megablocks ever made, seriously. The vehicles look totally ugly and the design is awful. I really don't know what this is about. I hope this is only preliminary stuff and will never be produced like how it looks now...

Personally, I think the idea is cool. I don't see how the sets are poorly designed. In fact, you can't see much of anything in the pics of that banner. That's why speculation threads always annoy me. It always seems that people immediately jump to conclusions. Funny thing is that the sets are always better than the first pics show.

AFOL and his money are easily parted.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Maybe throw in some Fifth Element as well.

Case in point: Power Miners.

The first pics were absolutely awful, but the resulting production sets kick rear.

Can't make out too much in those pics, but they look promising. It would be cool to get back in to space sets. I don't much care for Mars Mission, so hopefully these will be cooler.

Well said, I do agree that people jump to conlcuisions. This is just one banner, I think that lego won't disapoint us with this theme. Can't wait to see the sets though.
